It is 1953 and Margaret Johnson is touring Tuscany with her beautiful daughter, Clara. Clara's hat, taken in a gust of wind, falls at the feet of a handsome young Florentine, Fabrizio. As this fateful, romantic encounter grows into love, Margaret must decide whether revealing the truth will rob her daughter of happiness. This fresh, romantic score is critically acclaimed as one of the most beautiful in musical theater and won seven Tonys in 2005.

Cape Rep's Wendy Watson plays Margaret and Kira McCarthy and Jaron Frand are Clara and Fabrizio. Also in the cast are Jared Hagan, Chelsey Jo Ristaino, Anthony Teixeira, Jenna Paulus, Ari Lew, Devon McFadden, Sarah Jane Robinson, Hannah Matusow and Tom Leidenfrost.
