Broadway's Norm Lewis to Make Provincetown Debut, 8/7-8

In May of 2014, Norm Lewis made history as the first African American Phantom in "The Phantom of the Opera" on Broadway. This summer, on August 7 & 8 at 7:00 PM, he makes his debut in the critically acclaimed Broadway @ The Art House concert series in Provincetown, MA, hosted by SiriusXM star Seth Rudetsky at the piano. Norm Lewis received Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for his performance as Porgy in the Broadway production of "The Gershwins' Porgy & Bess" opposite Audra McDonald. He also had a successful year-long run in London as Javert in the West End's "Les Miserables," and was honored to perform the same role for the "Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert" (broadcast by PBS from London's O2 Arena).

His other Broadway credits include: "Sondheim on Sondheim," with Vanessa Williams and Barbara Cook, "The Little Mermaid," "Les Miserables," "Chicago," "Amour," "The Wild Party,","Side Show," "Miss Saigon," and "The Who's Tommy." Off-Broadway, he has performed in "Dessa Rose," Shakespeare in the Park's "The Tempest," "Two Gentlemen of Verona," "Captains Courageous," and "A New Brain." Regionally, Norm has been seen in "The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess" at A.R.T., "Ragtime,""Dreamgirls" with Jennifer Holiday, "First You Dream," "Sweeney Todd," and "The Fantasticks."

Norm's most recent television appearances include NBC's "The Blacklist," CBS' "Blue Bloods," as well as his recurring role, Senator Edison Davis on ABC's hit drama "Scandal." He's also been seen on television in the Live From Lincoln Center's production of his American Songbook Series concert, NY Philharmonic's production of "Showboat," New York Philharmonic's "New Year's Eve: A Gershwin Celebration," "American Voices," "Mystery Women," "All My Children," "As the World Turns," "Cosby," and "Strong Medicine." His film credits include "Winter's Tale," "Sex and the City 2," "Confidences," and "Preaching to the Choir."

Seth Rudetsky is the afternoon host on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio's ON BROADWAY as well as the host of SETH SPEAKS on Sirius/XM Stars. As a pianist, Seth has played for more than a dozen Broadway shows including Ragtime, Les Miz and Phantom. He was the Artistic Producer/Music Director for the first five annual Actors Fund Fall Concerts including "Dreamgirls" with Audra McDonald (recorded on Nonesuch Records) and "HAIR" with Jennifer Hudson (recorded on Ghostlight Records, Grammy Nomination). In 2007 he made his Broadway acting debut playing Sheldon (singing "Magic to Do" in a devastating unitard) in "The Ritz" directed by Joe Mantello for The Roundabout Theater. Off-Broadway he wrote and starred in the critically acclaimed "Rhapsody in Seth" (directed by Peter Flynn) at the Actors Playhouse and has also appeared on TV on "Law & Order: CI" and had a recurring role on "All My Children." As an author, he penned the non-fiction Q Guide To Broadway, the novel Broadway Nights and the recently published My Awesome/Awful Popularity Plan (Random House).
