Today, April 1, 2015, The Sun Valley Center for the Arts and Company of Fools (COF) invites the community to a Fools Day celebration at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey. This free community event will feature the announcement of COF's 20th

Celebration Season and The Center's 45th season, as well as this year's summer concert series!

The Fools Day event will take place from 5:00PM to 6:30PM. Everyone is invited to this free celebration that will feature guest speakers, fabulous desserts, an opportunity to win tickets, music and wine and great company. At 5:45PM COF 20th Season as well as the summer concert series will be announced in true Fools Day style. In addition to Center staff, volunteers, and guest artists, Michael Faison, Executive Director of the Idaho Arts Commission, will be in attendance to give opening remarks.

Last year's Fools Day festivities drew a packed house to the Liberty. The Center and COF anticipates the same enthusiasm-if not more-for the new season announcements. No one will want to miss out on this year's festivities!

"Fools Day began in 2005 as a way for COF to thank our community and to share our upcoming work," Core Company Artist Denise Simone explained. "Having now joined The Center, we are thrilled to be announcing our 20th season within The Center's 45th!"

"It is an amazing milestone-20 years of Company of Fools and 45 years of the Sun Valley Center for the Arts," said Sun Valley Center for the Arts CEO Terri Trotter. "We are excited to celebrate with and thank our community as we announce both our theatre and summer concert series. What's on the docket for the summer concert season is always a major question this time of year. From big names and classics to fresh new artists, we have a diverse line-up of music, along with a dynamic theatre season to announce on April 1. There will definitely be something for everyone in this celebration season!"

The Center's mission is "to provoke and stimulate the imagination while opening hearts and minds through excellence in diverse arts programming." Company of Fools is a professional award-winning theatre company driven by the power of the theatrical experience to connect artist and audience. Together the breathe of programming offered is staggering. Encompassing the visual arts, the performing arts, theatre and the humanities-The Center allows our community to explore and engage in a wide diversity of topics, which bring us closer through dialogue.

The Center and COF are committed to partnering with local schools to bring artists and authors, musicians and playwrights into the schools. The Center's outreach programs supplement the school curriculum with in-school classes and workshops, visiting artists, school tours of our exhibitions and professional development opportunities for area educators.

No tickets or registration are necessary for this free community event. For more information, visit www.sunvalleycenter.org or call 208.726.9491.
