CYT-North Idaho Sets Summer Camps

CYT theater camp is designed to create a hands-on theater experience. Campers will enjoy making new friends as they build performance skills and learn self-confidence, teamwork and theater abilities. There is no better place for kids to learn about theater and have fun than in CYT's positive and encouraging atmosphere - and every camper gets the opportunity to perform on stage!
Staff includes professional local artists, CYT Production Artistic Teams and CYT Alumni Students. Each camp features team competitions, rotations through daily drama, dance, music, theater workshops -- and an impressive Showcase for family and friends! Cost includes camp T-shirt!
Sibling Discount: save $20 per additional child
Multiple Camp Discount: save $25 when you register for a second camp.

Aladdin Junior Day Camp (ages 5*-12)
July 6 - 10, 2015
at Lake City Community Church, Coeur d'Alene
Hop on your magic carpet and head to Aladdin Summer Camp!
CYT's original musical Aladdin has a magic Genie, fantastic bad guys, heroic good guys, and a true love story that will touch everyone's heart. Not only does Aladdin and his helpful Genie outwit the evil Jafar and save Princess Jasmine, but with the help of the Magic Lamp, they put on spectacular production numbers set in the Cave of Wonders, the Baghdad marketplace and the Sultan's Palace. Come join Aladdin and his gang as he fulfills his three wishes at a fun-filled week of CYT Camp!

Fractured Fables Tween Day Camp (ages 10-14)
July 13 - 17, 2015
at Lake City Community Church, Coeur d'Alene
Aesop's fables get a twist as they collide in Fractured Fables, and famous characters and stories like "The Tortoise and the Hare" and "The Fox and the Grapes" are cleverly blended together. Meet Jeffrey, who is thrown into a world of song and dance, who just might learn a thing or two along the way!
Fractured Fables is an originally written and composed script by Idaho playwrights and composers, Jesse Hampsch and Nathan Top. Join CYT-North Idaho this summer for the World Premiere of this fun - and fractured - fairy tale!

"Awesome" Teen Day Camp (ages 13-18)

Once upon a bodacious time, in a radical, far-out world known as "the 80s" there were neon colors, MC Hammer pants, and more Pop Rocks and Twinkies than you could handle! Come slap on your slap bracelet and wear your sunglasses at night, as you rock out to some of the greatest songs and dances of the 80s. There's only one place where high tops and hypercolor meet musical theater and the best week of your life: Camp Awesome!

#blessed Teen Overnight Camp (ages 13-18)
July 27 - 31, 2015
at Twin Lakes Friends Camp, Rathdrum
Some of the most beautiful music ever written have used stories from the Bible as inspiration. This summer, we will explore the world of biblical-themed musicals, singing selections from musicals such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Joseph King of Dreams, Godspell, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Join us as we sing and dance in celebration of the timeless stories of The Scriptures.
In addition to the fun of other CYT camps with rehearsals, theater workshops, games, and a performance on the last day, this year will offer Bible study time, swimming and other outdoor activities, campfires, and MORE REHEARSALS -- which means MORE FUN!
Cost: $295
Includes all meals, camp T-shirt, and reception with friends and family at friends at Showcase

Jungle Boogie Junior Day Camp (ages 5*-12)

Do you often communicate with your parents through animal sounds? Meow too! We are just itching to invite you to spend a week on a jungle safari learning the bare necessities of acting,singing and dancing. Join us as we adventure through the songs of Lion King, Jungle Book, Tarzan and more! No matter if you have stripes, spots, hooves, claws, tails or scales; everyone is welcome here.
