On May 5, Alley Repertory Theater opens the crackling two-person drama SEX with STRANGERS by Laura Eason at Visual Arts Collective.

Explore a labyrinth of passion, pretense, and alternate identities when a high-stakes intergenerational romance entangles Olivia and Ethan, played by Liberty Leeds and Dakotah Brown. As the line between life offline and life online starts to blur, SEX with STRANGERS becomes a pointed and provocative reckoning with identity and desire in the digital age.

"This show is very tense and sexy. It is not a love story. In fact, I think the desire in this show has a lot more to do with ambition than affection," said Alley Rep Artistic Director and Director of SEX with STRANGERS Buffie Main. "It is a commentary on the gap between Generation X and Millennials and their deep, sometimes dangerous hunger to connect and possess each other's strengths."

SEX with STRANGERS is the final show in Alley Rep's 2015/2016 series, LEAP: this is not a dress rehearsal which included the wildly successful holiday variety show GOLDEN GIRLS CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA and the Tony Award-winning comedy VANYA and SONIA and MASHA and SPIKE.

SEX WITH STRANGERS plays one preview on May 5 and continues May 6, 7, 12, 13 & 14 (no matinee). Doors: 7pm; Curtain: 8pm. Tickets: $20 General Admission; $15 Students/Seniors/Military.

Alley Repertory Theater produces innovative theater that connects professional artists and local talent with thinking audiences. Be the first to hear about the 2016/2017 series by following Alley Repertory Theater at www.facebook.com/alleyrep. Tickets available now at www.alleyrep.org.
