Oklahoma City University’s Student Theater Company
Just the Actors…a Piano…and the Show

Dear Composers:

I am the Executive Producer
of OCUSTRIPPED, at Oklahoma City University, the alma mater of Kristin Chenoweth, Kelli O' Hara, and Destin Owens. OCUStripped will be hosting our fourth annual New Musical Theatre Project in February of 2009. I think Stripped would be a great opportunity to expose our department to
your compositional style. One the objectives of our
department is to bridge the worlds of Opera and
Musical Theatre, establishing a solid technique in our
singers, and making our students more versatile in the
world of Music Theatre as a whole. Several OCU students, including Jeremiah Downes of Philly Music Theater Works, suggested I contact you because of your caliber of work, and their hope for an opportunity to perform your material.

Let me tell you a little more about what our company
does, and how our project will be laid out. OCUSTRIPPED is a
student run Theatre Company under the faculty advisement of
OCU’s Opera/Music Theatre Department head, Dr. David Herendeen, and sponsored by the Wanda L. Bass School of Music. We are currently seeking show submissions for our workshop, and are looking for shows that have been conceived within the last five years, or shows that have undergone rewrites
and revisions, (if older than the aforementioned
status). We are looking for a wide range of shows including, revues, book shows, and other musical theatre works. Our evening will consist of four shows, with thirty-minute highlights of each one, totally student produced, directed, and performed. All submissions can be sent to the address below and should consist of show synopsis, score (specific selections are
acceptable), and audio recording/demo no later
than November 15, 2008. If you have any questions,
