"My Mother the Car." Think about it -- you save money because the female lead, never seen, can simply come in and record her part.

strummergirl, first off the sequel 'Leno Never Dies' comment made me laugh. Also, there actually WAS a 'War and Peace' musical already if you can believe it. It was an opera (in German!) that played at the Met a couple of years ago. I had a friend in it and apparently it ran about 4 1/2 hours. So, you are right about it never ending lol.

Aw, thanks, Here I Am.

It did cross my mind that there was some musicalized War & Peace out there. Yeesh, over 4 hours of German opera?

Embarrassingly enough, I would pay to see it, but it's overall not a good idea: Ms. Congeniality the Musical, starring Sutton Foster. Ha!

'The Addams Family', where the plot of 'La Cage Aux Folles' is recycled, half of the songs sound as if they were hastily rewritten after a disastrous Chicago try-out, major talent is totally wasted - oh crap, I just saw it this afternoon!

You take some old songs from the Great American Songbook and build them into a story about bowling. We call the show "Ten Pin Alley."
