Hi Everyone! Im trying to make a mix of love song duets from musical theatre and I have quite a few, but I am looking for more. I would love some suggestions from the classical musical theatre repretoire (spelling?) as well as any from more modern works.
Ones I have thought of: Say It Somehow-Light in Piazza Tonight-West Side Story One Hand One Heart-West Side Story I Love You Because-I Love You Because But I Do-I Love You Because I'd Give It All For You-Songs for a New World I'd Give It All For You-Songs of Jason Robert Brown sung by Lauren Kennedy (I prefer this version) A Heart Full of Love-Les Mis All The Wasted Time-Parade Yesterday I Loved You-Once Upon A Mattress In Whatever Time We Have-Children of Eden Count on My Love-Lone Star Love How Many Stars-Bombay Dreams All I Ask Of YOu-Phantom (Webber)
(And Yes I did use the search feature, but didnt get the results I was looking for)
Who Do You Love? (I Hope)- Annie Get Your Gun You Are My Home- The Scarlet Pimpernel (the second version, the original version is a brother/sister) If I Loved You- Carousel When the Children are Asleep- Carousel Half a Moment- By Jeeves The Last Night of the World- Miss Saigon Suddenly- Xanadu
"My Heart is so Full of You" The Most Happy Fella "Stranger in Paradise" Kismet "I Have Dreamed" The King and I "Too Many Mornings" Follies "Near to You" Damn Yankees (actually a trio- but awesome) "What Would I Do?" Falsettoland "If I Loved You" Carousel "Her Face/I Hate Him" Carnival (Don't be scared by the title- it's BEAUTIFUL!!) "You're Just in Love" Call Me Madam (A fun, bouncy one!)
Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco.
Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!
Whizzer, nit-picky correction, the correct song title is "Too Many Mornings." A few others:
"Happiness"-PASSION "With So Little to Be Sure Of"-ANYONE CAN WHISTLE "What More Can I Say?"-FALSETTOLAND "Shall We Dance?"-THE KING & I "September Song"-Done as a duet in LOVEMUSIK "Speak Low"-ONE TOUCH OF VENUS/LOVEMUSIK "I'll Never Fall In Love Again"-PROMISES, PROMISES "In Tune"-SEESAW "Move On"-SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE "Color and Light"-SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
