Flouner's costume does need to go, but I don't mind the seagull costumes... I expected worse based on what has been said here... and Scuttle's rock looks pretty cool.
Ugh! What's with Ariel's new wired fish tail? I prefer the original (and solid) fish tail. All they really needed to do was add some length to that original tail instead of creating this new wired accordian-type fishtail.
I think it all looks neat. I have a feeling seeing it live with the lights, etc. will help the effects. Looks like it is all coming together nicely. I am adding this to my list of shows to see on my next visit.
Yeah, the seagulls look fine actually, I was expecting something horrendous...but that's by no means the worst costume in the show (might be helped by the fact that Flounder's costume is a horrible comparison in that picture).
looks pretty good but i still don't get why ariel has 2 tails.

Flounder's costume is an over-grown shirt with sweatpants. that is not a costume.

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. i especially like the scuttle picture with the gang on the rock. for some reason, that one more than the other photos convinces me of the design and everything.
everything looks really fun! The only parts I'm questioning are the flounder costume and the palace interior, it looks REALLY flat compared to everything else.
I want to see it SO bad, no matter the reviews on how terribly messy it is, and about the costumes, etc. I couldn't pass up seeing my favorite Disney film transformed to the stage.
I don't quite mean to defend Flounder's costume, but I will say that that picture doesn't show all of the costume. It's a tiny bit better than it looks there because there are more fins you can't see from that angle, and his heelies are actually pretty cool. They looks like fins on his feet.
I dont get the picture where she is talking to her dad- she isn't hiding behind the waves, so she is just standing there, showing her legs and her fins.
So now that they've finally revealed Scuttle/Sebastian/Flounder in photos on the site, does this mean the show is pretty much "frozen" ? or I guess at the very least, these costumes are final.
Well, they're not really trying to hide the fact that she has a tail and legs. It would be nearly impossible to do that, especially with choreography and whatnot with Ariel and her sisters. And yeah, I would say the costumes are probably all pretty much final except possibly slight accents or minimal changes. I can't imagine they would change entire concepts for these costumes at this point.
