The Color Purple Seating Help#1
Posted: 7/26/07 at 3:14am
Hi All -

I have high hopes of garnering a pair of tickets to see THE COLOR PURPLE sometime in September. After having searched several sites for tickets, I was offered Center Right Mezzanine, Row A, Seats 101 and 103. A quick batch of questions: What row of the Orchestra section would I overhang? Are those decent enough seats to 'experience' the show all the way through? Is the stage at the Broadway Theatre high, low, or what? Any insight would always be greatly appeciated.

Many thanks in advance!

Best,

What's the price difference between orch and mezz? Is there any codes out there? I've gone twice but only sat in orch and I would recommend it for the facial expressions. However, I think the seats you're looking at would be fine, try to stay in the center bc the show is primarily center staged.

Eta the stage is about even to a few inches above my head when sitting so not high. And I think a map of the theater would show the overhang. I think it's J but not certain

LOL....the questions from the OP are from the original run in 07.

two different productions, two different theaters.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

To answer your question: it's the last row of the theater.  If cost is an issue, I'd still take it....but I don't like sitting that far back
