Which colleges have great musical theatre programs? I'm thinking of colleges to apply for. I will only go to a school thats the Orlando area and north . Thanks
FSU is overrated, University of Miami is very good for some performers. UCF is trying to be a force to be reckoned with but . . .UF is interesting. I personally went to Florida School of the Arts and it was a great experience for me and was the right place for me to go to. It also sets you up to transfer into a BFA program. I now go to CCM BFA Musical Theatre which is, in many peoples opinion, the number 1 school in the country. Florida has some good schools but the really successful ones are out of state.

I am a BFA at UCF and I love it. The program has great teachers and in a few years (especially with the new theatre and buildings in three years) it was become a major contender. It is a great school to look at.
Yeah, I'd like to know why Amy2 considers UCF's program to be "not a good" one. Let us know. I've only heard great things back from students I know who go there.
Fairly new in the world of MT, maybe, but that doesn't necessarily make a program not good.
