I've never gotten into Sushi. Hubby is slowly starting, but not me. I had a really good oven roasted flounder.

I don't do fish. The only sushi I really like are California Rolls, I eat those a lot.

That's what he eats. He made me try this cucumber roll thing the other night, but the seaweed thing it was wrapped in made me gag. ick!

I still have not started cleaning for Sunday, oops!

It took me awhile before I got used to the seaweed, now it doesn't bother me. The first time I tried it, in high school in CA before it became big, I hated it. It wasn't til a few years ago that I tried it again and liked it.

I'm trying to keep an open mind. It wasn't until this past year that I really ventured out of mainstream cuisine. I've been to Brazilian, Lebanese, Portuguese, and branched out further in Japanese cuisine in the past few months. I'm still taking it slow but I've definitely come a long way.

haha, yup. he had gotten a trial version a few months ago and learned everything the hard way. He has been telling everyone to just continue requesting XP when they buy a new computer.

Good morning all!

Super Bowl Shuffle? That is too funny! Everyone has been sending it around via e-mail.

I'm up way to early. Kitty has a vet appt, blah. Then cleaning for the rest of the day, lucky me!

What are you all up too?

I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.

Morning all.

Going to try to go to the gym today, it's been a couple weeks since I've been sick. Still not feeling great, but gotta go work out.

Then perhaps Mamma Mia tonight, and Don't Quit Your Night Job!

OK, I have to chime in that sushi is my all-time favorite type of cuisine, ever. Been eating it since 1982 (when I was just a little girl, and waaaay before "it got big," as liotte put it). And no offense, but California Rolls aren't really sushi. They're cooked. I mean, there's nothing raw even in there! How can you stand it? (j/k) But seriously, my faves are yellowtail, octopus, scallop, toro, squid, and spicy tuna hand rolls.

And hey, Tink: I actually buy Japanese snacks that are these rice-crackers wrapped in seaweed whenever I can find them, and I think they're super tasty! (I even ate them on the plane the other day.) And I buy seaweed salad from my local gourmet food market and eat it at least twice a week at home! How's that for "ick?" MWAH-hahaha!

OK, I'm done with my sushi/seaweed obsession for the moment.

Today, I was supposed to go to my theater company and help clean (it's a brand-new space for us) and prep the theater for opening night (which is next week), but I caught a nasty cold on the plane, so I think I'm going to have to stay home. Grrrr... I hate canceling on people. re: Who Needs A Mojito Time? ( Part 10... REHAB! )

Good morning...

As most of you know, I LOVE sushi, both cooked and raw, both fish and non. I didn't start eating it until the mid-90's, I was raised in a house/culture with very bland food tastes. The first few times I tried CA rolls I hated them. Then I started getting into them. After a couple of years, my ex talked me into trying tuna. Then salmon. And it all went to hell from there. Usual order: salmon and tuna nigiri (slice of fish over rice) and spicy scallop roll (maki). / end sushi talk

Last night a good friend came to the play, and I finally got to celebrate my birthday - went to 1200 Bistro and had a great dinner and several martinis. re: Who Needs A Mojito Time? ( Part 10... REHAB! )

Sleep is my best friend. We have a very loving relationship.

Taking a break from apartment overhaul. New furniture is finally on display in the living room, and it looks really good. A few minutes rest and back to cleaning and cooking. Lucky me! Is it to early to start drinking? =)
