I was very happy to have heard back from Spring Awakening today. I had given up on them when I sent a cast-signed playbill request to them several months ago, and especially when they were asking for a $75 donation in-theater during the BCEFA Winter Collection Period.

"Mostly, I loved the size of these people's emotions. Nobody has emotions this size anymore. Outsized emotions. Operatic emotions. Kushemski and Vanda are like Tristan and Isolde, they're Paolo and Francesca. Nobody's in total thrall like this anymore. Nobody's overcome by passion like this, or goes through this kind of rage." I know hamilton is requesting a donation, but has anyone tried writing to someone in the cast specifically? Will they still ask for $$?

"Individuals NEVER ask for a donation. They'll either respond or not. An individual asking for a donation before the sign something would be the equivalent of asking people for donations at the stage door before signing their playbills. Cast-signed playbills are different because they're on behalf of the production.

Your post gave me hope that I would get mine back soon/too, and I was very glad to receive my signed Playbill in the mail last night!

Has anyone had success with Laura Michelle Kelly? She didn't sign my playbill at the stage door and I was wondering if she responds. Thanks in advance!

What has the recent response been like for Allegiance? Several month ago when I sent a playbill request, they just sent me a blank playbill, but now I'm hearing that they're sending out cast-signed playbills?

I think they send regular Playbills to everyone now, but with a donation request for a cast signed Playbill.  At least that is what happened to me and a few other people who asked me how much of a donation should be made since the letter didn't specify. After receiving the letter, I gave $10 and received one signed by the cast.

Received cast-signed playbills from King Charles III, Allegiance, and A View From The Bridge this week, as well as a signed Lights of Broadway card and a sweet letter from Ruthie Ann Miles.

I have a drum stick  that was used on the closing date of IN THE HEIGHTS   (Matinee, not evening) It says "IN THE HEIGHTS, the closing date, and then 'thank you (someone's initials)"

the stick was tossed into the crowd at the Stage door, so I didn't see who singed it (LMM did not toss it)

I meant to bring it when I saw/stage doored Hamilton, but of course I forgot it.

Is sending  it to the Richard Rodgers theatre ATTN LIN-MANUEL MIRANDA the best option?

Any advice is greatly appreciated

Never send something through the mail to have signed if it is something you would be devastated to never get back. I can't imagine how much mail Lin may have to sort through. For regular items, it may take a while. And you're also running the risk of not getting a response/never getting what you sent returned to you.

Has anyone tried for a signed playbill from Hamilton lately? I sent a SASE on Jan 22, with donation, and haven't heard yet. But I don't really know how long would be a normal wait time because I'm sure they have a crazy amount of mail.

Also, when is an appropriate time to start sending requests to Shuffle Along? After opening night? And they'll probably be requesting donations, yes?

I sent a SASE and donation to Hamilton back in November and I still haven't gotten anything back from them. Has anyone else had luck with Hamilton?

I sent to Hamilton late last year and heard back within a couple weeks. I imagine that they must be busy with an influx of things they have received. Their popularity increased exponentially after the Grammys. I hope the stage managers of this show are being treated VERY well.

I'd really love to send fan mail to Jesse Tyler Ferguson in Fully Committed, what are the chances they'd ask for a donation or that he'd even reply? I assume he's going to receive quite a lot of fan mail.

Heard back from The Crucible. Sent me a cast-signed playbill with no donation request. Took about 2 weeks.

Heard back from American Psycho. Didn't send a donation, and they sent an unsigned (slightly miscut) playbill. Didn't included a note saying what donation amount was required. Also found it weird that they didn't even take the time to seal the envelope ahaha!

Whole process took about a month from send date (I'm in Canada)

That's the typical response when there are no cast-signed playbills yet to offer. Since they just opened, I suggest you try again in a couple weeks or so. I got the same response when I wrote to Allegiance and decided to write to them a second time a month later and it was then that I received a cast-signed playbill.

Also, received cast-signed playbills from The Crucible, Eclipsed, and Fiddler on the Roof over the weekend. No donation requests.

Don't know if this has been answered already but if so, I apologize. Does anyone have the address for the Richard Rogers theater? Looking to get a letter to Renee Elise Goldsberry and have never written to this theater before, so not sure how I would write out the address. If it would be Attn: Renee Elise Goldsberry or C/O: Renee Elise Goldsberry.
