I'm heading back to NYC for the day later this week and was going to try both stage doors for Hedwig and Gentleman's Guide then, but if I'm not successful at the latter, I'll try writing to them instead. Just got a reply from Violet. They did not send a cast signed playbill and none of the cast signed my Violet Playbill from the Encores concert. However Sutton signed and personalized my program from who I saw her concert last October.

No they did not send an unsigned playbill either. I was bumed but the fact Sutton signed the my concert program softens the blow :)

My daughter was six last year when she sent a letter to Sierra Boggess in London where she was performing Phantom of the Opera and mentioned she wish she had seen her in The Little Mermaid. A couple of weeks later my daughter received a really cool over-sized postcard of Sierra as Ariel and a nice note. That was coolest. She was on cloud nine for days. Just yesterday she sent a letter to Idina Menzel at the Richard Rodgers Theatre and is hoping for a reply. I had no idea, though, that you can send something to them to sign, and it seems many of them do send them back. That's cool! I guess we'll try that next.

I have a few questions about The American Repertory Theater. Are their programs the size of playbills? I'm thinking about sending fan mail to Jeremy Jordan, and would like a signed playbill. Also what's the address I would send the fan mail to?

Just got an amazing responce from Heathers. This is by far my favorite responce I have ever gotten! I had gotten in contact with the stage manager and was able to make arrangements to get a signed poster! I was so happy about this. I also sent some pictures and questionnaires for the cast to sign and full out. I got back every picture signed and almost all the questionnaires filled out. And the icing on the already amazing cake, they sent me 2 cast signed playbills! One from pride month and one from after Barrett left the show! I had asked for a pride playbill but the second was an amazing surprise. Also Kryistolyn was kind enough to send a signed headshot and Dave Thomas Brown sent me this really cool postcard type thing with him as JD on it. He of course signed it. The questionnaires are the best part to me though. If you have never sent a questionnaire to someone you should. The are fun to create and even more fun to read when you get them back.

I sent to Caissie Levy and the stage Manager of Violet about 6 weeks ago and to the stage manager of Beautiful about 3 weeks ago. Since Violet has closed I'm not holding my breath there but just wondering if anyone has had success on the other ones and how long it took.

They get 50+ requests a day. Yours should be soon :)

^ 50+ requests per day?! I highly doubt that is true. When I stopped by the office at the theatre one day, there were only like 5 envelopes in the mail. (I was there when it was picked up.) Granted, that was before the Tony awards, but I can't imagine that things would have picked up that drastically. Plus, as of a couple weeks ago at least, people were still getting Playbills with the original cover, which changed months ago. If they received that many requests, I would think that the original cover Playbills would be long gone.

I was basing my knowledge on how much Heathers was getting. It might not be 50+ but I guarantee it's probably a pretty hefty stack.
