Tommy Romano- you are aware this thread is called "who have you gotten stuff back from"? not "who have I sent to in hopes to get stuff back"... right?
elphie- just send to the theatre, like this:
Lin-Manuel Miranda
c/o "Hamilton"
Richard Rodgers Theatre
226 W 46th St
New York, NY 10036
Heard back from Dames at Sea, no donation request and it took a couple weeks.

"sorry!! I get a little too excited sometimes :)
I received my letter package back with a 'return to sender' stamp when I tried to send to Ripcord over at New York City Center, Stage I indicating that there was an issue with the address? Has anyone used a different address than the one below to send to shows at City Center?

Has anyone tried for GIN GAME, MISERY, COLOR PURPLE, SYLVIA, KING CHARLES III, CHINA DOLL, & SCHOOL OF ROCK? Anyone hear back?
Tommy Romano - what address did you use for ON YOUR FEET?
Thanks.

I sent to all of those except The Color Purple, China Doll, and School of Rock (I think it's a bit too early to be sending to them, so I'm waiting) but I have yet to receive a response from any of those shows. I'm not really holding my breath for any of them, though. Something tells me that The Gin Game, Misery, and China Doll will not respond. It's just a gut feeling. And Sylvia has been selling cast-signed playbills for BC/EFA but only at the theater and not through the mail.

Any luck from THERESE RAQUIN?

Same with Therese. No dice. The only shows I've heard from this season were Hamilton, Dames At Sea, and Allegiance (blank playbill only).
I have a question about the Wicked LLC. I know if you request stuff, that will send you playbills, pics, etc., but if I were to send something to them that I wanted signed by Christine Dwyer (current Elphie standby), would they get it signed for me and send it back? I saw her on tour in the show in 2012 and would love if she signed my program, but I only have one copy, so I only want to send it if I have a good chance of success (I know nothing is ever 100%, but you know what I mean).

A $40 donation to BCEFA.

If you are trying to reach a specific performer, then you address your mail to that performer specifically and not the stage manager. Also, if you only have one of something that you want signed and you don't want to lose in, then I suggest that you don't take the chance. Every time you send something in to have signed, you run the risk of never getting it back. Always send something that won't leave you heartbroken if you never get it back.
Heard back from MCC Theater's Lost Girls. It took about a week.
Has anyone had any success with James Earl Jones or Cicely Tyson? I know that they do not sign at the stage door, so I'm curious if they respond to mail?
*Desperate* Does anyone know if Laura Michelle Kelly from Finding Neverland responds to fan mail? Also, is sending mail to three cast members in one envelope okay? I'm not asking for a playbill, just an autographed picture from each person which I will include in the envelope.

I don't think that Laura Michelle Kelly responds to fan mail. If you are going to send mail to three cast members at once, be sure to address the envelope to the stage manager. (I would also suggest putting whatever letter/photo you want to go to the cast member in separate envelopes within the larger one to the stage manager)
Does anybody know if Sandra Mae Frank from Spring Awakening, Allison Case from Matilda, Groffsauce from Hamilton and the Stage Manager from GGLAM reply? I sent to them in September so I'm wondering if I'll hear from them.
Also wanted to put out there Rachel Tucker replies to fanmail! She sent a personalized playbill and a signed headshot!

A $40 donation to BCEFA.
I'm looking to get a Hamilton playbill, but since I'm in Canada I'm a bit worried about trying to send a cheque incase there is problem. Does anyone know if I donate directly to BC/EFA and include the receipt along with my SASE, will that work? Or does the donation need to be in direct correlation with Hamilton? Thanks.
And if any Canadians have some tips for sending across the border and getting everything back safe and sound, that would be much appreciated!

Got a little note and an autograph back from Andrew Rannells from when I wrote to Hamilton! Was starting to lose hope on this but glad I got it!
loliveve said: "Um, you should always include a self-addressed and stamped envelope if you are requesting a Playbill. Not including that is pretty discourteous. I mean, even sending cash means that an actor or stage manager is going to have to go out of his or her way to buy stamps and perhaps proper envelopes to send a Playbill.
I think, perhaps, the only time it is acceptable to send cash instead is for people who are writing from out side the United States who do not have a way to buy U.S. international stamps."
For the record, and this is a HIGHLY specific instance, but sending a SASE to "Wicked" for a cast signed Playbill actually seems to inconvenience them, as people report higher wait times in those instances than those who send just a letter.
It could just be a coincidence, but I wouldn't be surprised if they already have the envelopes ready for PB requests & using a supplied one requires more effort.
But, like I said, that's a very specific instance. In general, a SASE is always the way to go.
Hi all!
I'm curious as to any successes with the following shows? And if so, are they requesting a donation, and how much? Thank you! :)
Shows:
- "A View From The Bridge"
-"The Color Purple"
-"The Gin Game"
-"Hamilton" (Is it still $40 for BC/EFA?)
-"Colin Quinn: The New York Story"
-"Once Upon A Mattress"
-"These Paper Bullets"
Thanks again! :)
