I doubt it will be released for amateur productions. The music in the show was licensed to the show, so each production of this show would have to obtain a separate license for each song. Why can't some of you people miss a GOOD show like Caroline, or Change. I really miss that one.
To me, ASU *was* a good show, Fosse76. Not many shows consistently provided me with as much enjoyment and entertainment as ALL SHOOK UP. But that's just my opinion.
Yea i'm going through the worst withdrawal ever with this show. My mom was hanging all of my pictures with them on the wall Sunday and I was crying the whole time. I miss everyone in the cast, they were so nice. All Shook Up had to be the best show with the best cast ever!!!
btw, Fosse76 what you consider a GOOD show may be different then other people would. Everyone has different opinions. For example I watched plenty of shows including The Lion King and Wicked yet my favorite is All Shook Up. So respect other peoples opinions. I personally think that all of the shows that made it to broadway are good shows and all of them have their value.
thanx for the warm welcome liotte. i havent been to NY since the last time i went to see ASU on closing night, i will probably cry whenever i walk by the palace theatre...this is so sad and i still don't understand why they closed this musical so soon, it was so fun and entertaining. i just hope it re-opens on broadway soon with the original cast...they are all amazing.
i was really hoping that at least some of the cast would go on tour. i really, really, really, hope at least some of them do. the entire cast is amazing.

With all due respect, if you have nothing better to do than cry over a closed show that was only marginally well done to begin with, then I would say you have a bit too much time on your hands. Might I suggest volunteering for a charity? Broadway Cares comes to mind.....
thanx for the advise Insider2, but i already volunteered for broadway cares and i spent almost the whole day at the broadway cares flea market on september 25, and i can spend my time with anything i want, if i want to spend it crying over a show which by the way is worth crying over for, i can.
As much as I wish, like you do that it would re-open, I highly, highly doubt it could or would. They've already loaded the sets out and a number of the cast has already moved on to other shows, so the likeliness of the show returning just as it used to be is basically none at all. I wish I could go back in time and see it more than I did.
thanx WholeLottaShakin i like your icon too, i too wish i could go back in time to watch it more times. i know that the chances of the show re-opening are very little but hopefully if they do well on the tour it could re-open again, at least i hope it does.
yea, i bet he does miss it even more Dollypop, but not just because it was his paycheck but because it was so obvious that he loved playing Chad and he loves doing what he does, not only him but the whole cast must be really upset...and i feel really bad for them, they are all so wonderful and i wish the best to all of them.
bwayboycrazy, do you mean the big billboard? if you do, they took that down about 2 almost 3 weeks ago on september 18 a little before Broadway on Broadway...
Saw a couple cast members tonight in Times Square on the street. Said hello and chatted about upcoming projects. Glad they are finding work quickly and even though I wish they'd come back and reopen ASU, I wish them all much luck in the future.
really?!?! who did you see from the cast? and what are they up to? i am so glad and relieved to hear that they are finding work. i wish them all the best too.
As Broadway actors, I'm sure all of these guys are used to leaving shows or shows closing on them. But what made this so upsetting, to me at least, was just how abruptly it happened. I've heard that LITTLE WOMEN closed as quickly, too, but c'mon, FIVE days??
I ask this next half-jokingly, but did they even have enough time to have a closing night party? Anyone know? (And seriously, no orgy jokes.)
