I'm seeing Great Comet in a couple days and I'm planning to stagedoor afterwards. However, instead of just having them sign my playbill I wanted my copy of War & Peace signed. Will I be allowed to bring this into the theatre? Will the actors sign something other than a playbill?

You can bring pretty much anything that's not a weapon or food/beverage. No one can know if they will sign it but I don't see why not. Be prepared to quickly explain what you are giving them to sign if they give you a huh look.
Yes. My daughter did this with the final performance of Matilda (a copy of the book). I then got Tim Minchin to also sign it. It's among her most treasured possessions,
