That's a cute idea! I've brought books into theatres dozens of times, you'll be fine.
I'm hoping that Dave Malloy stage doors and is willing to sign the CD booklets (both OC and OBC) when I see him at the end of August.
We've done this a few times. My daughter has a Matilda signed by the cast and I've got a fun home sighed by that cast.
I've seen thinking of bringing a hardcover W&P, but it would have to be the three volume tonedtheright translation and not be HUUUUGE...

Judging by what others have mentioned, you can bring Popeye's Louisiana Chicken, 99 Cent Pizza from the W. 41st Street location, tuna on rye from any 8th Avenue deli, plus a few other yummies around Broadway.
