My initial thought is new cast announcements. But that seems like isn't as big a deal to do a social media lead-up (unless it's like, God coming to Earth to play Angelica).

My guess they are announcing Lin will be performing Hamilton in Chicago for Oscar Lopez Rivera. But mixtape part 2 would also be exciting!

I think Lin-Manuel is going to play Hamilton at the first preview of Hamilton LA. It is on August 11 and they used the hashtag #bitofaday which LMM uses for significant days in his life.

Nah. They never those make teases. Not for new cast, no for album, not even for new productions. Usually they just drop those things.

My bet is that they will be doing some special screenings of the OBC recording in cinemas across the country. 

This or the Mixtape Vol. 2.

Lin’s Twitter bio says he’s “off the grid” until mid-August, which August 11, well, is. It has to be Lin-related in some way.

Performing the first show in L.A. sounds possible, but why would they tease that across social media?

Lin played the LA engagement of Heights, which I saw. At first I thought Lin would be doing the same,  but this actually sounds very appropriate for the hype they're spinning.

SOme of these rumors are just ridiculous.  I don't know the announcment is but I know it is NOT a release of the pro-shot or a release or the entire OBC reuniting for a week haha.  The most likely scenario is probably the instant dropping of The Hamilton Mixtape vol. 2 (Beyonce style) or an official announcement and track list.  Although i do think the rumor that he will be performing in Hamilton in LA is also a pretty good guess (since is does line up with its Opening Night).

Am I the only one hoping lin is performing in Chicago? It makes sense, since Oscar Lopez said he was seeing the show in Chicago in mid-late August. So an announcement around now would be justified. Also, it might be a couple of different announcements.

They are going to do a reality show to cast the next Broadway leads?

They are opening a second Broadway cast at a second Broadway theatre?

They are going to do a live television musical of Hamilton starring the OBC plus Beyonce?
