advice on 3rd party ticket brokers#1

Wanting to see Dear Evan Thanksgiving eve, I have no choice but to try 3rd party brokers for seats. Can anyone offer opinions on what sites/brokers are best and what may be some of the pitfalls of using these services. Any feedback good or bad would be appreciated!

It would help if you tell us what you are considering.

But....overall Stub Hub is a good choice, if the tickets end up being bogus (and they seldom are) you can get your money back.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Hands down StudHub is the exception as the best of all online ticket brokers.  They have legitimate national exposure and support (hence their national TV commercials and sponsorships), so if there are any issues (as mentioned above), you are fully protected and they will help with any issues you might encounter.

Also, as mentioned on other posts, keep checking Tele-Charge periodically as tickets are released for advance performances by the box office.  Generally this happens days prior to a performance but it does happen regularly.  You just have to be routinely checking and be lucky you catch the release and respond quickly as tickets will be gone in minutes.  I've been successful obtaining excellent tickets at regular prices this way countless times but I was checking constantly and all all hours (yup, even 3am).

How many seats do you need? Right now there are 4 available on Telecharge, not together, in the orchestra for $299 each.  Though I agree, the best advice is to wait and see if any get released via Telecharge closer to the date.  If not, go the Stubhub route.  (Wait until just before the show if possible.)

want to add great experiences buying from tickpick.com.

1) they show the actual price you will pay

2) they generally disclose actual seat numbers or if not listed you. an email them

3) their customer service is friendly and accessible

4) they are based here in manhattan
