I heard they are already planning a revival of Comet with Oak. The twitter fans are going to handcuff him to the stage so he never ever leaves.

I often post here on my phone, so please excuse issues with grammar, paragraphing and spelling :).

An honest question, who is responsible for taking down elaborate sets like Great Comet's? I assume it's the show itself, but do theaters help out? Do the following shows ever purchase equipment from the previous show to help alleviate some costs?

I am picturing it like how a tech company I worked for downsized and they sold computers, desks and other equipment to the next tenant of the office.

A LES MIS OR BILLY ELLIOT REVIVAL WITH THE GREAT COMET SET LEFT BEHIND????

Just kidding. I really hope that Great Comet isn't going to close because it's such a wonderful show and I DON'T WANT TO SEE THE SET GO!!!! What happened in the past few days was awful and I am hoping very much that they find a solution and probably hire new producers. What's Next For The Imperial?

HELLO PEOPLE! :D

The show is responsible for removing EVERYTHING from the theater. If it was loaded in by stagehands, it must be loaded out by stagehands.

This entire thread is twisted and premature. One whiff of a potential problem, and the blood hounds come out in full force.

If by "blood hounds" you mean people living in reality? Then sure.

No, I'm referring to the rest of the population, who seem to manage a sense of propriety. I'm not including you in that statement.

The other thing that is in talks is an open-ended one-man show by none other than Oak himself. Apparently he is going to charge Hamilton prices (think $849 premium) because Twitter has proven he has a wide of people that will #fillthetills.

I wonder if any of his keyboard warriors have actually purchased full price tickets to keep the show open.

Someone here said that the set can be unloaded in an afternoon. So it's not too big an issue

Nothing happens in an afternoon. But it's not as big of a project to restore the Imperial as one would think.

In response to the removal of the set (whenever the show closes, be it too soon or a long time in the future which be so wonderful for its talented cast and orchestra). The show is always responsible to restoring the theatre to exact state it was before any changes were made. On a production that has made such extensive changes to the building, it would be common for the theatre owner to require that the production place a deposit with the owner (or in escrow) to cover the cost. The only exception way be if the theatre intended to do a major renovation after the closure. As for any one else wanting the theatre with the changes, that is unlikely--though the 1970's Candide revival did keep the changes that had been made to the Broadway theatre by previous tenant Dude. I don't know the current Iaste rules, but in the past a show was not allowed to leave anything in place (such a common lighting instruments) for the next show even if it had similar requirements.

Carousel?

But that doesn't matter, because we're all here. And with all of our differences we have one thing in common. We're all gay.

Passing Strange.

It'll pack the house eight times a week.
