McCain does the right thing |
I imagine part of his vote last night was a big old "f-you" to the guy who said he preferred soldiers who weren't captured.
My name is neither "adam" nor "greer."

THIS. I've noticed that they haven't gotten nearly as much credit as they deserve.
Quite right Blockhead, think about that it took two women and a guy with brain cancer to show some compassion from the other side.
Agreed. Plus, Trump is reportedly looking to take revenge against Alaska. Not Murkowski, but Alaska.

Bad move.
Later that day, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke called Murkowski and the state’s other Republican senator, Dan Sullivan, to threaten that the Trump administration may change its position on several issues that affect the state to punish Murkowski, including blocking energy exploration and plans to allow the construction of new roads. “The message was pretty clear,” Sullivan told the Alaska Dispatch News.
Nevertheless, Murkowski persisted. In fact, she took it one step farther and demonstrated that she has more leverage over Zinke than he has over her. As chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, Murkowski indefinitely postponed a nominations markup that the Interior Department badly wants.
Only an amateur would threaten the person who has oversight over his agency! If she wants, Murkowski can make Zinke’s life so unbelievably miserable. He has no idea.

He is truly a frustrating person. I really want my memories of him to be voting no on this travesty or verbally slapping W around in South Carolina or yanking the microphone from the whack job who called Obama an "Arab." But I feel like I'll be stuck with memories of his holier-than-thou speech on the Senate floor the other day or lying about Obamacare being crafted behind closed doors with no GOP input or continuing to defend Sarah Palin.
Collins and Murkowski are remarkable women, and if I lived in their state I'd likely cross party lines to vote for them because it's clear they have integrity. They were also the only two Republicans to stand up to DeVos.
My name is neither "adam" nor "greer."
^Plus the Palins absolutely DESPISE Murkowski, which makes her that much more worthy in my book.
