im in town this week and thrilled that the NYMF is going on

Anyone hear anything about the shows playing from 7/26-7/31 whether any have some advance buzz or people have heard good things about?

shows playing include

Camp Wanatachi-teen girls explore love at  a christian summer camp

Play like a Winner-ruthless world of soccer moms and their kids

I am I will I do-a wedding singer/band director finds love and the new normal in a new musical comedy

A Wall Apart- original rock musical based on three generations living with berlin wall; music by founder of air supply

the Goree all girl string band (depression era prison girls learn instruments and form a band-sounds like the old clooney film)

Generation Me-15 year old teen boy with "everything" commits suicide (DEH anyone?)

Peace Love and Cupcakes-teen girl newcomer starts a cupcake club to make friends(based on best selling childrens book)

I have heard these shows can range from surprisingly good to unbelievably bad.

If anyone has tips or guidance on these shows would appreciate it!

Def. interested in "A Wall Apart" - I've only seen one NYMF show and it wasn't great.

I really liked The Cadaver Synod. Wild and loud, a bit reminiscent of National Theatre of Scotland's Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour. I'd only seen David Larsen as Elder Price, so this role was quite a fun departure. :)

saw play like a winner this morning and loved it

ruthless world of girls soccer and soccer moms

very well written with surprisingly catchy and clever songs

well acted by leads whove mostly had broadway lead roles including nick dromard as the coach

i would pay to see a further developed version of this on broadway

i dont think its a smash hit and its better than many shows ive seen that did make broadway including a few playing now

i think they have 3 or 4 more performances

a good value for $30
