I agree. Sad to see that it's dropped out of the million club, but it's not bad at all considering it's post-Groban. Also, I know the gross is what really matters, but it's still encouraging to see it coming in at 98% capacity. People still want to see it, even if they're not all paying top dollar for it.
Also, great final week for the ADHP2 original cast!
I am guessing that ADHP2 grosses will be down $200 - 300K next week. Laurie Metcalfe got the Tony, she's gone. I don't like this, but it is all about there sorry state of drama on Broadway, especially in the summer.
Disappointed that Bandstand is slowly losing what stem it had. I won't get to NY until early October. I really want to see this now, after loving the cast recording so much.
Err, I think you mean she did every performance she was contracted to do, and she's gone."
Isn't interesting how differently people can read the same thing? I interpreted Jarethan's word like "Laura's Tony winning performance brought the people to the theater and now that she's gone the show will loose steam."

Only Jarethan can clarify which he meant

I read it the same way as you. I read it like she was the draw and now the show could be in trouble. Not like she up and said "peace" because she had her Tony now
Is there anyone who can explain why DEH lists their top ticket price as $397 ($399 with the facility fee), when it seems pretty clear from the premium prices listed on Telecharge for this past weeks shows, as well as the posts on here from buyers who paid those prices, that they're getting $425+?
Glad that Groundhog Day is up this week, even if it's small....
Hell, if On Your Feet could stay alive as long as it did with it's weekly numbers, average price, and attendance, then hopefully GHD can make it through to New Year's Day. One can only hope...
@CT2NYC two possible answers: (1) that no tickets were sold at that price in this frame, or (2) that no one bothered to adjust the number when they filled out the report.
@a-mad GHD is currently losing money. Comparing it to OYF is meaningless as the latter has producers who don't mind losing money which is a drop in the bucket to them (plus the advertising of the brand alone justifies the expense).

COULD be:
1. They are buying RESALE (where the seller sets the price.)
2. They are buying tickets for a future date, and therefore not yet come into play. In other words, tickets for 400+ performances haven't happened yet.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Osnes was out for 3 of the 8 last week, much talked about on these boards, but not on TDF or elsewhere. . "Bandstand" held its occupancy and slipped about $10,000. Did her Chicago concert have any impact? The show went up the week before, and a ten grand slip isn't much. Just a question. They did mention her out at the box office when I bought my tix in/for early July. But it wasn't on Telecharge.

I wish we had info for this

I remembered that Beautiful broke the rules last summer, and that business was down over the summer. Looked quickly, and that does seem to have been the case. So, this is the second summer in a row. Is it possible that it is a net loser from all the new shows that open in May; from the time the hangers-on start closing around Labor Day, business seem to improve. Interesting, though not exhaustive, analysis.
It is also going to be interesting to see what happens with A Bronx Tale. It is doing worse in the summer than the rest of the run. Either business is going to pick up in the fall -- assuming GHD, War Paint, Miss Saigon and Bandstand close -- or it was naturally petering off and business will go down further post-Labor Day.
I don't think there is currently any public source for road grosses. Variety used to publish them on a weekly basis but the last one I can find online goes back to 2012. While a show used to occasionally send out a press release to announce a record breaking week (or an ad in Variety a long time ago), it seems now that this information may only be available to investors in most cases.
A question, if anyone knows, since many shows now tour under an Equity Seta contract that pays a bonus if the show has a really good week, do cast members get financial information on the production or do they just get the bonus amount (possibly with Equity auditing the amounts)?
On an unrelated side note, Variety also used to publish regional theatre grosses each week.

Nope, neither of these apply. Someone posted about buying a premium ticket on Telecharge for the evening show on Saturday, 7/22. He paid $464 ($450 + fees). As far as what I've seen with my own eyes, there were some $425 tickets available on Telecharge for the matinee on 7/22, and I'm assuming that they sold at that price, since they were gone relatively quickly. I'll go with HogansHero's reason, that they just didn't bother to adjust the number.
Jarethan, now that I think about, and with what you've said, maybe the target audience flees NYC during the summer. I mean, the show appeals to an older audience who maybe go to their summer homes, etc, and therefore there's a slight sag in the numbers. I mean, it's still doing fine. But it use to be a big sell-out hit.

That could be a possible explanation. When it first happened last summer, I remember wondering whether it was due to less business travelers (vs. tourists) because Beautiful is the perfect business traveller show. Will be interesting to see.
