Do you have stories to share about any encounters (for want of a better word) you have had with celebrities?

In 1967, I was a young U.S. Navy sailor visiting NYC for a couple of days before returning to my ship in Scotland.  I went into the lobby of the Waldorf Astoria, in uniform, just to have a look around.  As I was leaving, Elizabeth Taylor (and a bunch of people) approached.  As they passed by, she looked at me, smiled, and gave me a thumbs up.  That's all.  But it remains a pleasant memory 50 years on.

As a blackjack dealer in Atlantic City (great way to pay for college) I have tons of these little stories:

Raquel Welch being so drunk off her ass, she bumped into a friend of mine and went off on him.  (quite the mouth)

I watched the English actor Robert Morely play roulette.  Without saying a word he was hysterical, quite the character.

I dealt cards to Sylvester Stallone and Joe Frazier.  Frazier was a sweetheart.  He had a 14 in front of him and kept "asking" for an 8.  I silently prayed for any other card.  I didn't want to explain to Mr Frazier why I was taking his money if the card he asked for came out of the shoe.  (it didn't)

Oh, and  Kristin Chenoweth nearly put the spike of her stilleto through my foot in the lobby of Normal Heart.  Boy did that hurt, and she never said a word.

I once was seated next to Casey Affleck in first class on a flight out of JFK.  He nodded at me, asked for a Vodka soda, then put his eye mask on and went to sleep.
