Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a fun summer! I've seen people on this site give great suggestions and requests, so I hope this isn't too much to ask but I need a little help, I've been accepted into the Adv Musical theatre class in my school and my assignment is to gut together a set of four pieces for our midterm performance. I've been looking for months but the pieces I'd originally had were either unapproved or not strong enough. I am a mezzo soprano, a good student, and can be rather shy at times.
I was thinking of using Home from Wonderland as my modern ballad.
I am not sure what to use for my classic uptempo, (it needs to be from the Golden Age of Broadway or written before 1960)
I also need a comedic and dramatic monologue from a musical. I wanted to do Sally's Coat hanger Sculpture monologue for the comedic portion but was told I needed something stronger.
If anyone has any suggestions I would be so grateful to hear them! <3
