Hi! So I have an audition for the show "Thoroughly Modern Millie" soon, and I'm focusing mainly on getting the role of Miss Dorothy. My voice teacher gave me a list of possible audition songs, and I decided to go with "The Simple Joys of Maidenhood" from "Camelot". First question...is this a good choice for the character and show?
Second question...I want to keep the possibility of myself as a choice for Millie open to my director. Are there any steps I can take to accomplish this, even though I'm mostly aiming for Miss Dorothy?
"Whenever I see someone less fortunate than I...and let's face it, who isn't? Less fortunate than I?"
"In sleep he sang to me, in dreams he came...that voice which calls to me and speaks my name..."
