Wow! This movie was magnificent! Kumail is already one of my favorite comedians, but this showed me a whole new side to him that was just devastating. Please go see this movie, its brilliant in every single way possible. I laughed, cried and everything inbetween. Some of my favorite bits were when Terry and Beth went to the gig and when terry brought up 9/11. I could not stop laughing. Also loved seeing Aidy Bryant, Bo Burnham and Rebecca Naomi Jones as well.

But that doesn't matter, because we're all here. And with all of our differences we have one thing in common. We're all gay.

The 9/11 joke got the biggest laugh when I saw it.

I enjoyed every moment of the movie.  It touched my heart while making me laugh.  Although the film followed a purely conventional romantic comedy arc, I didn't feel as if I had seen it a thousand times before.  Highly recommended.

It's a sweet little movie, with lots of sweet little charms. The actors embody their roles in lovey ways, especially Zoe Kazan, who makes the hero's slide into true love with her completely believable.

Some good off-center comedy here and there, but not a guffaw-inducing laugh riot by any means. It just hits a sweet spot, which is rare these days. I wish the theater where I saw the film had a lot more moviegoers than it did. These are the moviemakers that we should all be rewarding with our attendance, or they'll stop making gems like The Big Sick altogether.

Oh, and I still really hate the title.

What a gem of a film. Funny, touching, insightful .   Lovely.

We saw it last week and really enjoyed it.
