Hello everyone! I'm extremely new to this site and the forums, and I hope I'm posting this in the right section and spot, and if I'm not, I'm terribly sorry!
Anyway, my name is Daniel Ruffing. I am a composer and musician, and I have been composing music since I was 16 (I'm 1. My biggest dream has been to write music for a Broadway musical. This is a little hard to explain, so bear with me. To this day, I have over 50 finished songs, and I have around 25 unfinished songs. Some are just vocal/piano, others are just vocals, and a select few are fully or partially orchestrated. None of them have lyrics, as I have written these in a "Broadway sense" if that even makes sense. By that, I mean I have composed them for the stage and they all have a Broadway feel to them. I have things like reprises, entr'actes, big numbers, sad songs, fast songs, etc. My only issue is that I do not know anyone who has great writing skills and cannot write anything to save my life. My reason for posting this here is that I figured I'd be able to find at least someone who might be able to help me.
So, is there anyone out there who might have an entire show script done, and needs songs to go with it, or is perhaps willing to collaborate and make an entirely original script that goes with the music? One of my friends has a substantial place in the musical word. She's worked with the 2016 Broadway cast of She Loves Me and various other shows and all that jazz, and has told me that she'd be happy to send stuff in to any producers she might know. I'm sure it's hard to believe, but I can of course provide proof to anyone interested in helping me. But this is my biggest dream, and I would be excited to work with anyone who might have the next big show and is willing to consider my music. I guess, if you're interested, message me and I can send some selections of songs I've done and we can work something out. And if you know anyone who might be able to help me, let me know!
Again, I'm incredibly sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place, but I honestly couldn't think of anywhere else to post something like this where people would actually read it.
I do have two instrumental songs released, if you want a sample of my work (full disclosure- my released songs are kind of crappy, only for piano/cello and I've evolved as a composer and have MUCH better stuff now). I'll post a link to my YouTube channel so you can check them out.
