Decided to see a play for my birthday on June 10th but there are too many choices. Any thoughts on  the following?

Oslo

Dollhouse Part 2

Present Laughter (this seems to get more mixed reviews but I do like Noel Coward)

Sweat

Indecent

I haven't seen it yet so I can't speak to it myself, but I predict many on here will recommend Doll's House.

I recommend checking out The Little Foxes, too. One of my favorite productions ever.

Any other day, I would recommend Indecent as the play to see - but it may be too heavy for your birthday.

A Doll's House is fantastic and funny and the second best play on the list!

Indecent and A Doll's House, Part 2 are both excellent, but Indecent is definitely devastating. If that's your thing, by all means go, but Doll's House is probably the better choice on your birthday.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Thanks for the feedback so far. And I will definitely welcome more.

I was considering Little Foxes too actually (The Bette Davis film is a favorite of mine) but when I looked tickets weren't available on the 10th

Since your B'Day falls on a Saturday how about treating yourself to two shows, a matinee and evening performance. See a 90 minute play in the evening, "A Doll's House, Part 2" and one of the longer running plays for the matinee.  BTW, since "Little Foxes" is playing in a subscription house there is a good chance more seats, good ones, will be released closer to the date. While not a guarantee it does happen often. Their Saturday Matinees have a higher subscriber attendence because they have talkbacks.

I'd love to see a play in the evening too but I live in Philadelphia so that would require a night at a hotel. Since this is sort of impromptu trying not to spend too much money. So I think for this trip it can only be the 1 play!

The Little Foxes, A Doll's House, Part 2, and Oslo are my recommendations.

Ended up getting a ticket to Little Foxes. I did get a slight discount but it was still expensive.  But after reading about all the plays I think this one would appeal to me most. I figure I can treat myself for my birthday! :)

OSLO is amazing! (As are Dolls house and Indecent) OSLO, though you can get $32 excellent seats if you're ages 18-35. But all are completely different productions and genres...really ultimately depends what you're interested in seeing that day and what type of show you're looking for. Oslo, is also very humorous, especially for the subject matter. They did a great job of putting humor into this play.

Enjoy, kimalysong! Who will you be seeing as Regina/Birdie?

Thank you :)

I believe it's Nixon as Regina, Linney as Birdie. I actually would have preferred the other way around based on reviews but that's okay. I am still very excited to see it.

The Green Cast (Nixon as Regina) of Little Foxes is incredible. Nixon is so cold and casually cruel and remarkably restrained in the role, and Linney's Birdie is equal parts hilarious and devistating.

I second that. Actually, that's their preference:
