Last night, the GOP candidate for today's special congressional election in Montana assaulted a reporter.  Will the voters care?  I wouldn't bet on it.

White supremacy is big business in Montana and Wyoming, so I wouldn't expect much to come of this news.

I read earlier today that over 60% of the MT votes are usually cast early so the deal is likely done already.

Winning these deep red states will not happen in our lifetime. Kansas, Oklahoma, Whyoming, etc. These people (i am from a Red State and my relatives are Trump voters) have no empathy for anyone that is not white and are xenophobic.  No chance tonight.  I predict GOP 64-35

If this thug is elected, Paul Ryan has the right to deny him a seat in the House (as I understand).  But given Ryan's statement today, that seems unlikely to happen.  "If he wins, he's been chosen by the people of Montana.  I'll let the people of Montana decide."

I think the days of honor and integrity within the GOP are behind us.

They days of honor and integrity in the GOP have been long behind us since Reagan, if not Nixon.

Ironically, I suspect that the Old South will become this nation's salvation in a few election cycles.  I grew up during the 60s & 70s in NC which has become a purple state.  Many young voters of all stripes in the SE are ready to move beyond the region's checkered past.  I'm still stunned that several cities and towns have torn down their Confederate monuments.

Georgia voted for Clinton in 1992. Who knows!

And then there's Alabama...

Alabama governor signs Confederate monuments preservation bill

I get that the Confederacy is very much a part of southern heritage but the monuments seem to commemorate hate.

And any sense of civility is lost when the President of the United States pushes the Prime Minister of Montenegro out of his way.  At least Trump didn't body slam the Prime Minister to the ground.

Oklahoma and Wyoming really shock me as being red states. Yeah they can be socially red, but like Wyoming depends on a lot of tourism for Yellowstone, which republicans are against the national parks. Then Oklahoma has over a thousand or more earthquakes, because republicans are allowing fracking.

You really need to work on stringing together more coherent thoughts when writing.  Don't just post for the sake of posting.

It really is a sad reflection on our world today. The Trumpian war on the press is really quite alarming in many ways.
