does anyone know where the stage door is located for the Lyceum? My understanding is that it is around the block from the entrance to the theater, in which case, I imagine there isn't much of a stage door presence for this theater. Does anyone know if people tend to sign at Play that Goes Wrong?
The stage door is on 46th street. I haven't seen this show or stage doored but when I saw A View From the Bridge last year I stage doored and everyone pretty much came out and signed with about 10-15 people waiting. Every show is different and the stage door depends on the actor/show like any other even though it isn't near the entrance.
I stage doored Play That Goes Wrong a few weeks back and entire cast came out (took a while but the wonderful security kept the small group of us in the loop). All cast members signed and gladly took photos that visit, and were so kind and sweet and seemed genuinely appreciative we had waited for them. They are a great bunch of people and the show is hilarious!
Also, I've read here that the cast are thrilled when fans want their autographs because apparently this never happened to them in the UK :) I'm seriously bummed I wasn't able to stick around afterwards when I saw the play, definitely going to go back.
Greased Lightning is correct, its around the block, back side of the theater just past the parking garage. No sign but there is security and you will see barricades.
It was my third show at the Lyceum and I stage doored all three times. The stage door security guard(s) are super nice and will keep you posted on status, and check periodically on who is coming out and ETA, and they also keep you company through small chat while you wait. Very sweet people.
Most of the cast came out when I caught the matinee, but some took much longer than others.
