I imagine it will include Michael McGrath, Leslie Kritzer, Hank Azaria, and Laura Bell Bundy as they all participated in the most recent workshop (which was last spring). Michael also tweeted the show's artwork for Paper Mill over the summer with a caption along the lines of, "We're ready for you!" In any case, I can't wait!
I've heard from someone in the show that Hank Azaria will not be continuing as Norton due to other work he has booked.. Michael McGrath and Leslie Kritzer are definitely coming back. Saw the tryout and McGrath and Kritzer were perfect. Not sure about Laura Bell Bundy.
I think the Hank Azaria loss is a blessing in disguise as in my opinion he didn't nail Norton. Don't get me wrong; I am a Hank Azaria fan but he wasn't his best in this.
McGrath has been attached to this for years- I'm fairly certain he was talking about it back when he won the Tony for Nice Work If You Can Get It in 2012. I can't imagine he wouldn't be part of this production as well.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
Megan Hilty would be such a step up from Laura Bell Bundy. Why was she not in the last workshop to begin with? I'd love to see her return to Broadway.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
I think Broadway needs a Christian Borle break. I know i do. Don't get me wrong. I like him. but he is in everything. It's too much of a good thing. What's next. Dolly in Hello Dolly?
