Indecent rush recently?

Any reports on how it's been in the past few weeks? I am especially interested in weekends.

Can't speak for weekends, but went last week and wasn't able to grab a ticket at about 12:30. Even if they're sold out of rush, they'll definitely have balcony seats, which are only about $10 more.

I went to the box office last Saturday at 10.20am and had no trouble in finding rush tickets for the evening performance.

Where are the rush seats located? I'm trying to decide if I should buy tickets in the front of the balcony, or see where the rush seats are. I just want to make sure I'm not in a place where I will miss translation text, which I've heard is an issue from some seats.

I stopped by yesterday (5/30 Tue) at 6 pm (it's a 7 pm show) and managed to get the last rush ticket. The rush seats are either the 1st row or box seats, which all have great views.

I nevef checked rush. They had box seats for 30.00. I got a 39.00 balcony seat and they moved us to the mezz. I was in B1 in the mezz.

Just left the matinee. I got to the BO around 11:45 or so and got front row center. The boxes were mostly empty so I reckon rush didn't sell out.

The view was fine. The stage is high but once the actors stand and move downstage a bit more you can see everything (except feet).

Theater was half empty though so I'd hurry to see the show. Best guess it will close post Tonys (unless it wins and really picks up some steam)

What's the rush line looking like with the recent news about it not closing? I went around 9:30am last Wednesday thinking I'd be able to snag a ticket for one of the shows and I couldn't! (Which wouldn't be weird except during the entire run previously, people had been grabbing front row rush tickets like two hours before curtain.)  What time have people started showing up for rush?

I rushed this show on 6/10 for the matinee. I showed up around 10:10 AM and no one was at the BO. Actually, I think I was the first person to show up that day. I'm not sure what the rush has been like since the recent extension was announced, but it was honestly the easiest rush I've ever experienced.

FYI, my seat was Orchestra Row AA, Seat 108. Really great seat!

I arrived today at 11:40am and was 12th in line. I got one of the last front row seats - parties in front of me got boxes because they wanted 2 seats together and I only needed 1. I would imagine today was a little lighter for rush because many theatre folks are going to Pride instead of a matinee. I would imagine that since they have to sell the remaining shows from scratch as of last Thursday, rush should be fairly easy in the coming weeks but that is only speculation.

This is before the announcement but I walked by on 6/15 a little before 9:30am and there were six people waiting.

Show hasn't started yet, but I'm a little baffled by the box office instructing us that the box seats were "slightly obstructed" but that front row was full view. This is eye level from front row. The cast is onstage along the back of the stage, and the projected text has two lines below what you can see. I would consider this to be very obstructed...

I sat in those seats a few weeks ago doing rush as well. As I'm sure you found out when the show started, even though the actors start out sitting in the back, once it begins, they come forward and rarely sit back there again. And anything you can't see on the back wall is also projected on the two side walls so you really don't miss too much. However, you are always looking up, you do miss their feet and the few times they are on the ground, it can be a bit hard to see. If someone is really short, it would be a greater problem for them. But truthfully, to sit in the front row for $30 and see these actors 5-10 feet in front of you giving their all, it was well worth it for me.

I got there around 9:35 and I was 8th in line. 3-4 more people showed up before the Box Office opened so there were probably 12. The guy in the box office moved everyone thru very quickly (and extremely impersonally) so not hard to believe they were all "processed' by the time you got there.

Does anyone know where the TDF seats are usually located?  I'm debating if I want to go ahead and buy a ticket from them for $41 or wait and see if I can rush or $30.  I'm planning for the Saturday matinee this weekend.

The location of TDF seats are a wild-card depending on what's been sold up until after lunch on the day of the show. With the rush you know they are the 11 front-row seats plus some box seating as well. Though you save time and the am-I-too-late thoughts if you pre-purchase via TDF.

It was a lot better once the show started. I wouldn't have been annoyed had he box office not been explicitly and specifically telling everyone that the mezzanine box seats were partial view and the front row seats were not obstructed at all. 

 

I went back and rushed the show Sunday after seeing it on Friday from the balcony. As soon as the show ended I decided I was coming back, and I won't be in the city again before it closes so twice in one weekend it was. I definitely got little moments in the front row I didn't in the balcony and appreciated the intimacy for a second viewing but honestly I would recommend front row balc which I think I paid $40 for maybe with a discount code over the front row rush seats for an overall good full stage view of the show.

Not super early - like 9:15am? There were only 2 people in front of me. By the time the box office opened, I think there were like 20 people in line.

I imagine not super early. I think if you are there by 9:15, you will be fine. I haven't seen the line in about two weeks, but it hasn't been super long. But the closer we get to closing, I'm sure the longer the line will get.

I rushed this past Sat. I got there at 9:20am and was 13th in line. I got 2 tix in the first box for the evening show. Good luck!

I rushed it last Wed 7/19. Got there sort of late at 10 am, there were maybe 15-18 people ahead of me? Managed to snag a pair of box tickets (glad it was a two show day), think mine was the second-to-last pair of available. You should be ok if you get there maybe 9:30 am on a weekday but would def get there earlier for a weekend. Either way, go see it, what an incredible show :)

A general question but can be answered as welk by you, sb2940, if you wish.  If one is available at 10AM, meaning that one is not "hand-cuff'ed" at a 9-5 job then why arrive "late" as you did as well as, in general, so many inquiring people on here seem to either do, or want to do?
