BBC America has a new sci fi show for Saturday nights and it's starting out like alien gangbusters with a multicultural all inclusive cast as their heroes. The group is lead by the "take no prisoners" bitchin' Katherine Kelly giving some great performances; (she played the "shady" Lady Mae in Mr. Selfridge). The group has a lead gay prince (cutey Greg Austin, who was also Mr. Selfridge's son Gordon), an African American young girl, a Pakistani Middle Eastern jock, a young muslim, the school's "serious"young woman, the student's parents, etc...

The cast is all in great sci fi form and the writing is very crafty. Episode 3 from tonight called "Nightvisiting" really lets the series take off in a truly good way...very deep thoughts of the afterlife in our dreams when we see family and friends that have passed on. I think there are 8 or 10 episodes for season 1; I hope it stays as inventive as it's start and is around for awhile. Kudos on the casting.

Katherine Kelly as the Physics teacher Ms. Quill looks like she's having lots of fun with kick ass "shadow" aliens.
