did anyone try to rush today for Charlie &The Chocolate Factory?  Curious as to how big the line was and seat locations.

I rushed on Tuesday and got there at about 8:00am and was fourth in line (but the second and third person were together so they each got one ticket). The person behind me didn't get in line till about 8:30. More people showed up at around 9 but it definitely wasn't a long line at all. The man at the box office said that they'll only be selling single tickets so while you may purchase two, they won't be together. The two tickets I got were for Row B seat 4 and Row G seat 8. Neither were partial view and I ran into the people I stood in line with after the show and they said their seats were great too.

Does anyone know what this rush has been like for the past couple of days? How early do you have to get in line and did the line end up being long by 10am?

I rushed on Saturday April 29 and it was busy! I only got there at 8:45am (this is late for me when I rush two day shows). When I got on line there was 23 people in front of me, which I thought no way would I get a ticket. I decided to wait it out because I could see over 200 available tickets on Ticketmaster and maybe they would have cheap deals after rush was gone.

When it was 10am they took us until the box office and divided us into two lines based on which show we wanted. This helped see how many people were actually in front of me. I ended up getting a ticket for the evening show orchestra row P which was a phenomenal seat!! I know the family behind me also got matinee tickets. By 10 there were probably 20 behind me but i don't know how many got rush tickets.

Hope this helps!

After failing to get a ticket to the evening rush ticket for Bandstand, I decided to take a shot in the dark and go over to Charlie (on 4/29). I got there around 10:25, have no idea how many people were sold tickets prior to that, but after about 2 minutes, they announced that they were out of matinee rush tickets. But I was indeed able to get rush for the evening.... center orchestra row J seat 106!! No idea how I managed to get a premium as a rush ticket, but hey, who am I to complain?!? They said they would run out of evening rush tickets about 2-3 people after I got mine.

Rushed today.  Got there at 830am and was 11th in line. By 10am there were 25-30 people.

Got 2 tickets in row N and L of orchestra on opposite sides (far side aisle)

My friend and I are going to NYC very soon on a Sunday, and I really want to see the show, but can't justify spending full price for the tickets.

I'm hoping to see a Sunday matinee, how early should I be lining up?

Has anyone done the rush lately? If so where were the seats? And how was the line? And has Christian Borle been out much due to the Tonys press?

Thanks

I rushed this morning (2 show sunday) and got there at 8:40 for an 11am box office open. I was 7th in line. When we got in they said they had single tickets only available, but they had partial view seats together (B10 and B12) so me and my +1 did that. The seats were amazing, so if you are offered that incentive I would go ahead and do it. There were close to 50 people at box office open.

Hi all - rushed Sat June 17.

Was first in line -- arrived around 7:10am or so.

Next person came closer to 7:45 am.

The link surprisingly grew fairly quickly from 8am onwards. I don't know how many rush seats they had tho.

Was offered front row obstructed view - passed on those. The stage is elevated so it would have been hard to see -plus I hate sitting that close. I always feel like it ruins the magic of broadway for me  when you're that close... and you don't get a good grasp on the whole stage.

Second option was center orchestra but not seats together -  my friend was 1 row in front of me so it worked out okay!

I think we had center row T & U center orch. $40. not bad!

Does anyone have an idea what rush may be like on a Wednesday matinee?   Does rush usually sell out right at box office opening, or are there sometimes still seats available around 11-12?  This is one of the shows I am considering rushing for this Wednesday's matinee, but I may not be able to get to the box office early.  Thanks for your help!

I doubt more than a handful of people will get rush seats this Wednesday as it's almost a sold-out show ( even shows with lots more seats available in advance only have a few handfuls of people on the rush line getting seats ) ... IMHO get there before 8AM .

My friend and I got here at 8am for a 7:00 performance. We were 2nd in line. The line really started gaining people after 8:30. It's 9:50 and there are about 35 people in line

We were offered 2 seats together that were obstructed view or singles. I'm not sure where the obstructed view sears were located- We decided to take the 2 singles. We got row E13 and H17

It was absolutely worth $40 and 2 hours in line. I laughed a lot and enjoyed the nostalgia the show invokes. The oompa loompas were beyond adorable!

I've seen the show twice and loved it. It is a cute show and I thought it was hilarious.

I saw the post from a few days ago about rush, but a friend of mine is interested in rushing tomorrow and wanted a general idea at what time would be best to get there for rush.

I was considering rushing this show tomorrow (7/10) but was wondering how rush had been lately. I wouldn't be able to get to the city until around 4 or 5pm. Would all the rush seats realistically be gone by then?

I went to the box office after 1pm today to see if they had any rush tix for the 6:30pm show. The b.o. guy told me, "you should have been here this morning."
