Chester Gregory is the sexiest singer on Broadway

I saw Motown the musical when I was in Los Angeles the first weekend of February. I had not seen Chess Gregory perform since his performance in Cry Baby in 2007. I have always been a huge fan of Chester's but I was raising a child in Portland and never had the opportunity to go to any of his shows. Wrong place at the wrong time I guess. By some star-crossed chance the weekend I was taking my son to Disney Land, Motown was heading at the Paramount theatre. To be completely honest I am not a huge fan of Broadway taking historical retrospectives and cramming them into a 2 hour and 40 minute timeline musical, however because his voice is SO amazing I decided to buy a ticket and go to the Sunday night evening performance. I do not regret going. His voice is so heavenly I was in a trance. I had the opportunity to meet him briefly afterwards in passing and he is as genuine and kind in real life as was depicted on the stage. My only complaint with the show, and this is a huge one, is that it is not his face on the cover art. I know another man played the role first, but I truly believe that Chester Gregory has put in the time as well as FLOORED audiences with his talent that he not only deserves to be the face of the show.....it would, in my opinion as a marketer, increase sales and revenue profits. If Motown the Musical was to take this advice and create a new poster, I would be the biggest fan of the show. FOR THAT alone.
