I do and that was a different era. Back then, starters actually completed games and pitched every 4th day and built up arm strength.They were not pitch count crazy and I honestly think they "baby" young guys too much now which leads to arm injuries. On paper, Mets have awesome young talent and it should be quite interesting race in the NL East with the Nationals. As for my Yankees, I am liking the youth of this team with guys like Sanchez and Bird. Can't wait for opening day.
No, I don't remember so many injuries, ever. Especially with the Mets last year. I don't understand why so many athletes become injured so frequently. Are the standards different?

Pitchers throw harder than the years of Seaver and Koosman. They also throw more breaking ball type pitches which put strain on their elbows and shoulders. Seaver had a textbook delivery where he got a lot of his power from his legs which lessened the stress on his pitching arm.
