Curious if anyone has seen this and could share their thoughts. Estelle Parsons is directing. Some of the reviews and comments I've seen, seem all over the place. Thanks.
I went to see it because I like Stephen's writing in Mother F**ker with the Hat, and wanted to see his other work. Judas was slower than MF, but it was similar in style which I really appreciate.
I feel like it's lacking something to make it stand out and rise above, but I don't know what it is... When I saw it, it felt like a high school production in a high school gym (because it really is a gym, and anything I've seen at La MaMa always feels a bit grungy and unfinished, but I go there because it's a legit NYC experience every time).
I thought a few of the cast members were great in the beginning (the saint, and the angel) and a couple cast members at the end. I saw the play towards the beginning of the run so it might have changed a little by now, but why not just go see it if you're curious?
