-31% cut to the EPA (because who cares about the planet, anyway?) -28% cut to the State Department (diplomacy schmiplomacy) -21% cut the Agriculture Department (remember allllllll those rural farmers who voted for him, here's how he's repaying you!) -the elimination of the National Endowment for the Arts (because who needs culture in Trump's America?) -the end of Legal Aid (the poor don't really need lawyers, despite what the Constitution says) -the end of a program that gave people assistance in heating their homes (just tell the poor to put on a sweater they'll be fine)
So where is all this money going?
Well, the Pentagon gets an additional $54 billion. Keep in mind, the Pentagon already makes up the vast majority of the federal budget. We're not fighting a war. Why do we need to increase defense spending like that???
Oh, and there's $1.5 billion dollars for the wall. You know, the one he swore Mexico was going to pay for. Looks like we're paying for it, after all. Another one of his lies.
Guess what it doesn't slash...farm subsidies which are mandated by law unlike the non-war-mongering discretionary spending targeted by President Bannon.
No, we can't provide funding for Meals on Wheels, but we have pay to protect Melania who just has to stay in New York City. I say, force the b*tch to move!
It's all making sense now. Cut the funding to everything that helps people and also doesn't destroy the earth. Everyone will die, so that will make the pentagon and wall budgets justifiable.

Free and reduced school lunches getting the axe too, because "there's no demonstrable evidence it's improved student performance."
So they want kids to just go hungry?? Since when was the free lunch program a business where we were seeking a return on an investment? I thought it was simply about making sure kids had food to eat. And by the way, for many kids, the food they get at school are the only meals they get.
Once again, the GOP gives a big f you to the poor. I recall some Reoublicans floating the idea that the poor kids be made to come early or stay late and work for their free meal by cleaning the school, further ostracizing them. Because that's fair.
Trump is vengeful. The NEA decision is an F YOU to the Arts Community, for their campaigning and speaking out against him before and after election, #1 Target being Hamilton who received funds from the NEA (and has made $10,000,000 since) and campaigned against him. They even lectured the VP in public and raised funds for HRC
The School Lunch is probably an F You to Michelle and her school lunch platform
Makes little sense to me to stick the State Dept with a threadbare budget for the upcoming fiscal year and likely reduction in force if the White House has already started beating the war drum. The Trump administration is both reckless and amateurish.

So your defense of this inhumane budget is that he's just getting revenge? And you're ok with punishing poor kids and seniors by letting them go hungry? I just want to make sure I very clearly understand your position.

"Adam, I think you are confused. or maybe I confused you with my nifty writing skills. Where did I defend the budget? I did not. I was explaining why I think he did it. As I have said countless times, just because I like Trumps embracement of strong women, does not mean I like him
