None that I heard. Some people inquired at the box office about standing room and at the moment they don't have a SRO policy (but by opening night they will.)

i do wonder if they even have seats for rush or lottery. They've been sold out for months.

A cast member told me this morning that they will be offering SRO. They didn't give me a timeline, but made it seem like it was going to be before opening night.

Anybody tried for SRO recently? I'm assuming it's being sold at least at some performances, based on the percentage of tickets sold last week, but I wondered if anyone here had some luck with it.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

I highly doubt there will be rush since the show is totally sold out. Not sure about lottery either because I don't think they blocked off any seats for it. However, standing room is probably your best bet for the show.

Just wanna report on SRO for y'all. I got there at 7 today and was third in line behind a couple (they got there at 6:30) who was getting 3 tickets. We got to the box office and they told us they had 5 tickets. I got the last two SRO spots. The box office guy said it's gonna pretty much be 5 tickets for a while because I guess they're using most of the spots for wheelchairs?

To store them during the show? It's not like they could see from there... heh

$47 to stand for three hours?  I find that rather insulting.

Good. You stay home and that will leave one less person lining up to get them.

Usually for SRO, the box office only sells one ticket per person.  However, from reading your post, it seems that they are selling two SRO per person.  Is this accurate?

Also, sometimes during previews, the creative team is standing in the back taking notes and/or working on the production, so it's possible that more SRO spots will open up after April 20th.

Thanks for the information.

Then I would suggest that you refuse to do so and stay home.  That'll teach 'em a lesson!

Yes, please don't go. They won't get it unless you stay home.

So after waiting 2 hours yesterday and missing tickets by one person, I waited another 3 hours today for SRO and was second in line

Just prior to box office opening, they came out and told us there was no standing room tonight but had a list of $750 and $500 seats we could buy

Box office said there is no SRO policy and that there will not be any. Total guessing game if there will be any spots. Guess a 40 million dollar advance just isnt enough money

To be fair: the issue of whether there is standing room available is not one of money. During the preview period they use that space for members of the creative and producing team to watch and take notes from.  It is ALWAYS a crap shoot to get standing room in previews for any show. Most producers don't even offer standing room at all until after opening so I think the fact that the producers of DOLLY have been trying to offer SRO whenever they can at this time is generous.

If they were trying to make more money, wouldn't they sell your SRO if it were available?!

Nah, because they are trying to squeeze everyone into buying these insanely priced premium seats.

They were just giving you an option because SRO wasn't available.

Hardly. The box office was simply telling you what seats were available. They don't set the prices or the policies or conspire to doup people who come to the box office hoping for seating/ pricing options that just aren't available. Try going on a weeknight- you may have better luck.

Yeah, I'm sure people who want to spend $47 to stand are the same people who didn't realize that for $550, they could just sit down and enjoy themselves more! Hello Dolly Rush/Lottery

I agree with QueenAlice. I went to the box office yesterday after work and the guy in front of me asked about SRO but there weren't any available.

I was able to get a cancellation ticket in rear orchestra and indeed some members of the cast & creative team were standing in the SRO area. Also, I noticed the last row (row T) was empty. I'm guessing that's where the people who go to the bathroom during the show sit for the remainder of the act?

Anyway, on side orchestra SRO section, there was a professional photographer there taking photos for promotional material (so jealous of her!!)

Seeing how they sold over 100% seating capacity on the broadway grosses, there is standing room available but it seems to vary from day to day during previews. After opening, I'm fairly certain there will be an SRO policy.

Did SR this morning. First two people got there at  4:45am, then one at 5am, then one at 5:05am, then me and my friend at 5:15am. They sold 5 SR tickets at 11am after the matinee sold out. The rest of us were told that there would likely be no more SR for matinee, but the evening had not yet been determined, and that we were welcome to wait in the BO if we wanted to. We all waited until 1:45pm, which they then said they would make a determination on SR for the evening by 2:30pm. At 2:30pm, they sold 9. So excited for tonight. By far the longest I've ever had to wait, but so so excited!

Have a GREAT time!!! For what it's worth, row T (last row of orchestra) was empty when I saw it last night. If it's empty tonight, you guys can probably sit there. Just an FYI. Enjoy!!! :) The wait is so worth it! I have tickets to watch the show again in a few weeks though I'd do SRO after it officially opens.
