WIthout knowing your tastes and budget, who knows? But, Joe Allen (always Allen not Allen's) is always a good choice. Home of the notorious flop wall, great burgers, great service perfectly attuned to showtimes.
Reservations are available no more than a week in advance (OpenTable)
Tony dinapoli's; kodama on 45th; pasta lovers on 49th...is always quick and goood food, although it has an awfully tacky name lol
lucky's is also always fun, quick and not too expensive.

Joe Allen would be my first suggestion, too. Also love Thalia.
My goto has always been Totto Ramen, but then again, I don't get good ramen where I live so that adds to my bias. They opened a new outlet on 51st & 10th which is still undiscovered and not as busy. They are fast and cheap.

Chaan Teng, a great new Hong Kong style restaurant by Chef Pichet Ong (Spice Market, P*ong) opened a few months ago in the theater district. Highly recommend.
