"Oh look at the time, three more intelligent plays just closed and THE ADDAMS FAMILY made another million dollars" -Jackie Hoffman, Broadway.com Audience Awards
I feel so bad for Significant Other. Hoping that CFA gross changes course after the positive reviews.
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

I am a fan of SIGNIFICANT OTHER and can see the low grosses today. It's been on TDF often, however, today I looked on TDF to purchase tickets for a friend for his birthday but it's not listed. At first I thought it closed! Anyone have any ideas as to why the producers wouldn't list this show with TDF with BO doing 20% of its capacity? Strange.
In Transit is doing painfully bad. Their total grosses since they opened are barely above what Hamilton made this week alone. I know there's a lot of people who have argued that In Transit's producers are capable of taking a financial hit, but surely they're nearing the end on this one, right?
Not too bad of a start for War Paint and Amelie, hope they keep the momentum going. I'm worried for Come From Away, hope it can build on the positive reviews. Significant Other and In Transit I dare say will close by the time the nominations come out unless they receive some major nomination.

I had that thought too and just saw it as a sign their closing notice was going to be posted soon.
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.
I suppose the silver lining for Significant Other is that, like Bad Jews, probably every college and regional theatre will produce it. I loved the play!
“I knew who I was this morning, but I've changed a few times since then.”
Fairly auspicious start for War Paint, which I was concerned about looking at all the empty seats at the start of the week. Man, I really did not see Bronx Tale coming and I did not expect it to keep momentum. It's just so...Generic? I so underestimated the appeal.
And again - Sunset Blvd - pulling in over 1.2 million, top 5 gross for the week with only 7 performances. In this somewhat crowded season, I'm really happily amazed it's doing this well...
It's hard to judge COME FROM AWAY as their grosses included opening night. This week will be tough to judge as well due to the storm tomorrow. Yet I think with its strong reviews, it'll become a hot ticket.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I think we all did. That Jersey Boys crowd needs somewhere to go!
IN TRANSIT needs to go. I doubt those grosses even cover all the salaries for the cast & crew.

As usual, On Your Feet continues to underperform. Way underperform. There have been many discussions on why the producers keep it open. No argument here. Assuming the Estefans see value in keeping it open, there's still cash flow to consider.
If as has been often assumed, the Estefans are waiving or deferring payment for creative rights, what would be the weekly nut? Any guesses?
Is Sunday on pace to recoup? They better do, so we can get that cast recording!
Also, I suggest that they put less ads on this site. If you are gonna save the Tony money, you might as well save the advertisement costs too. Use the money for the recording, please!
I can't imagine Come From Away has that high a weekly running cost? No huge stars, simple set/costumes, I assume it doesn't require an extensive crew?? It has great attendance so far, the average ticket price just needs to creep up.
