I am traveling to the City in June and I am seeing Anastasia, Sweeney Todd, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Hello Dolly. I have room for 2-3 more shows.
How would you rank these four shows by order of recommendation? I am between War Paint, Sunset Blvd., Come From Away or Significant Others.
Thank you for your suggestions. I really appropriate your help :)
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I've not seen War Paint yet, but out of the other three Come From Away is the clear answer for me. Both other productions were very good, but I haven't told friends they must see it like I have with COME FROM AWAY.
Come From Away I enjoyed, but it's a very tiny production, that will have a long life, it will tour, it's like a 5 piece orchestra? Maybe 10? A small cast, it is a very cheap show to run. I would hardly call it a "must".
Glenn Close stars in an Andrew Lloyd Webber masterpiece with an amazing production and a 40 piece orchestra. That you will never see again if you skip it. Come From Away will run for a long time on Broadway/tour/etc. See stuff that you can only catch on Broadway...Sunset is a must! Last chance to see it before it closes in June. Come From Away will be around for years I think.
But if you have time for both, see both and then regarding the other 2 shows, I can't really comment because I haven't seen them.
