so these are the shows I'm seeing this year and I'd like to know people's opinions on the shows (i.e. Cast, music, story) 

-Something Rotten! (Tour)

-Wicked (Broadway) 

-Waitress (Broadway, w/ Sara) 

- Sound of Music (tour)

If you are already seeing them (have tix for them) isn't the only opinion that matters,  yours??

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Something Rotten is great fun, and is a very enjoyable night in the theatre. 

Wicked is a lighthearted, pleasant, entertaining show. It gets a lot of hate because people don't think it deserves to have been open for so long, but it's not bad. 

Waitress is a lovely show. The music and story are both incredible. Sara hasn't started performances yet, so I can't speak to how she is in the role, but the show itself is worth every penny. 

The Sound of Music on tour is the best major production of the show in the past few decades, IMO. Some of the cast that I saw (Nov 2015) has now departed, but I am sure that the show still holds up. The direction was a breath of fresh air on a piece that really needed it.

These are all light and fun shows, and I'm sure you'll have a great time. None of them is a favorite of mine, but they are all crowd-pleasers. Enjoy!
