Price, Significant Other, or Glass Menagerie?

I'll have a free night in NYC next Friday and am wondering how to spend it.  I'm going to Sunset on Thursday and was thinking I'd mix it up with a play.  Glass Menagerie has some sentimental value because I was cast as Tom in high school (but we never performed it -- rehearsal schedule fell apart).  The Price also looks good, though I'd have to get a partial-view box seat.  Significant Other seems intriguing, though perhaps the huge availability of seats on a Friday night tells me what I need to know.

Any recommendations / pros and cons?  Any argument for The Present, which does not appeal to me based on what I've read?  Thanks!

Signifiant Other isn't selling well, but that doesn't really tell you whether it's good or bad. I loved it Off-Broadway, saw it twice, and also just went to see it again this past weekend and enjoyed it just as much a third time... but I didn't see the other two, so can't really help you compare and contrast. I just wouldn't read too much into availability, especially when compared to shows with celebrities in them.

Significant Other is excellent, don't let the empty seats fool you.

Significant Other

A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

None of those plays seems like a particularly good fit with Sunset. Not that you'd need it to be but sometimes I like to see shows that go together to some degree if I'm seeing things back to back. Could you talk a little more about the kinds of shows you prefer?

I really enjoyed this production of Glass Menagerie, but it'll be around again. Significant Other is wonderful, and Gideon Glick is giving one of the best performances of the season.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Interesting. I go the complete other direction and book comedies against dramas, happy shows against sad ones, plays versus musicals... just to keep the experiences as distinct as possible.

Not to completely derail this thread, haterobics, but I'm not always able to shake the last thing I saw if I'm seeing a lot of shows the same week... which is why I generally try to avoid that. I'm usually fine seeing concerts though. But it's hard for the next show to have an impact if it's not that great when I'm still processing the memory of the last play. When I'm seeing a lot of shows everything becomes a little less memorable.

Significant Other.  Price was good, but not great.
