When she's a little bit older, she'll be the PERFECT Eliza in Hamilton
I'm already set on the idea of her being Eliza in the inevitable Hamilton movie circa 2025 or thereabouts, but I'd also kill to see her do it live :)
I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.
Pity the Miss Saigon revival is coming now instead of in a few years. She could probably play Kim (since she's not that much younger than when Eva Noblezada took on the role in London)

My thoughts exactly. She'd be a great Nina. (She reminds me of a young Arielle Jacobs.)

It was announced today that Auli'i was cast in the NBC pilot of 'Drama High' being produced by Hamilton's Jeffrey Seller. She's going to be a star, no doubt about it, so happy for her.
I too am thrilled for Auli'i and she knocked the Oscars out of the park. But seriously...how many of these high school drama club movies/programs are they going to do? Won't they eventually run out of truly original storylines?
I was thinking of Kim too, but even if she's half-Filipino, would her Polynesian heritage still be a problem?
And yes to all of these! I was also thinking of Lili in Carnival! (She is a soprano in her high school choir), Eponine in Les Miserables, Esmerelda in Hunchback and even Jasmine in Aladdin a couple of years if it's still around!

And what about casting her in BYE BYE BIRDIE? "
She isn't half-Filipino; she is Hawaiian, Chinese, Portuguese, Puerto Rican and Irish. So I don't think her race would be an issue with Kim. Eva Noblezada is half Filipino and half Mexican.
