Come From Away Rush |

Questions:
1. If Rush and SRO are being offered for the same performance, can a ticket-buyer specify which one they would like once they reach the Box Office window?
2. Will they sell SRO if the Rush hasn't been fully distributed yet?
3. Will they sell SRO if the house isn't fully booked yet?
4. Is 9:00AM a good time to get into line on a Sunday?
THANKS FOR THE INSIGHTS!
"
1 & 2. I'd imagine you could specify, but they probably won't sell sro until after rush has been distributed. But since the number of rush seats they sell is fairly small, they probably assume it will sell. In any case, if you specify which you want, I'm sure that's fine.
3. No-- they only sell if the show is sold out, but it's been sold out for almost every performance recently.
4. Probably not. Maybe for sro, but the line starts forming in the 5:00 hour, so you won't score rush.
I should have clarified: Above, jennab113 says "I did SRO yesterday (Sunday). I got there about 9:30AM and was 12th in line."
The box office opens at 12PM on Sundays (not 10AM) which is why I asked about getting in line at 9AM. I hardly believe getting in line on Sunday at 5AM (a 7-hour wait) is necessary on a Sunday.
Hey everyone.
I have a box seat ticket for Thursday May 18th that I'm trying to sell. It was for my brother but now he decided he doesn't want to go. It was $91. Let me know if you're interested.

Based on my experience last week, you'd be fine getting there at 9. Last Sunday, I got back in line about 10:15 and still got SRO, though I was one of the last to get into Sunday's show. But I only have experience with that one day, so it's a really small sample size.
Rush Report from Today (Sunday). Got there at 8:25 and was 13th in line. The last people to get SRO showed up at 9:15ish. Standing room is GREAT for this show!
Precisely! (above) in-regards to Sunday May 14, 2017.
The 1st person in line arrived at 5:45AM. The individuals whom got into line ~8:30AM were receiving SRO.
Great to know. Thanks.

There doesn't seem to be many reports for weekday rush so:
First person in line today was there at 5, next person at 5:45, then a handful of people around 6-6:30. The line didn't really seem to get big until around 7:30-8 and by 9:45 there were probably about 40 people in line. Not sure how many rush/SRO were sold.
Hey all! I'm trying to see the evening show tonight via SRO. Does anyone know if the line starts forming before the matinee starts? If so where would I stand as they are getting people inside?
I've heard as early as 12:30. Feel free to ask at the box office & where they would like the line to form.
Wanted to share my rush experience on 5/20 (Saturday):
-My roommate and I showed up at about 6:20 a.m. and were 7th and 8th in line. Most people in front of us had gotten there at 6 a.m.
-Line started getting longer at 7:30 a.m., 40 people in line at 8 a.m.
-Line stretched all the way to the Shubert Alley at 10 a.m.
-Not sure how many actual rush seats they were giving out, but I do know my roommate and I got some of the last matinee seats, and there was only 1 left for evening show. I believe they started selling SRO a few people after me.
Hope this helps anyone wanting to rush on a Saturday!! Good luck!
Rush tickets on the weekends seem to be limited to only 10. However, there are 25 SRO spots.

Does anyone have any recent experiences they could share for SRO for the evening shows on a 2 show day?

As a Saturday fyi, I was at the theater today at 6:07am, was 14th in line & was the first person to get sro tix. The line was semi-ridiculous by 8am & was absurd by the time the box office opened.
That's crazy!!
It's been reported that for the evening shows on Saturday & Wednesday, they start selling SRO around 3pm. On Saturdays, a line starts to form outside of the theater around 12:30/1:00.
Definitely can confirm the SRO for saturdays goes on sale at 3. Saw people out side the theatre at 1. Wish I could wait on the line for tn. Ill see eventually
Rushed tickets on Saturday. Got in line at 5am, was able to get 2 tickets for the evening performance (sitting, not SRO). Tickets were pretty solid, partial view was not at all too obstructed, couldn't see the far left of the stage but that was it, and reasonably close up. Not sure how many were left after mine were purchased. I think I was the 7th person in line arriving at that time.
If anyone cares, DEH was I would say 15+ people when I arrived, and probably grew like 4x faster than CFA.
When I asked an employee at the theater a few days before, he said people started arriving at 5:30, which is obviously outdated info. If I was going to rush again, I'd probably get there at 4:30 to be safe.
Thanks to everyone in this thread for their advice and updates, was very helpful to me in strategizing for the night. Good luck to everyone!!
The box office said that they start selling at 3 when I did SRO two weeks ago. I got there around 1:45 and was first in line for SRO. The line was on the side of the theater closer to bandstand. The cancellation line for the matinee, and SRO for the evening kinda merged at first, but once the matinee started and they gave out the cancellation line, only SRO were left. I would say if you want to do SRO get there around 1:30 or maybe 1:15. When I got there, the line for the matinee performance was happening and it was insane. There was no room to move and it was really hectic. I'd go before the line starts picking up so you aren't in the middle of that.

So, I am going to be in the city for only two days. The first day we're seeing Dear Evan Hansen and the next day is the problem. I was going to get tickets for the Wednesday matinee of Come From Away, but it is sold out. I want to do rush. On a Wednesday (June 14) when should I be at the box office? If you came at 5:00 for a weekend show, is showing up at 8:00 (with the box office opening at 10:00) enough ahead?
Also, anyone who has done SRO, could you see? Was it fine? I'm only 5'2 and I'm concerned about being able to see if I do SRO. Thanks in advance!

There's no way this is still the case now. Can anyone verify?

I'll be in NYC next week for a couple of days, and I'm wondering, how is the rush/SRO line is on the week before the Tonys? I would imagine it's NUTS.
I'm trying for a ticket in advance so I can catch a show but I'm not getting my hopes up. It's NYC, it's Tony week, and I'm an out-of-towner infiltrating the atmosphere.
I'm planning on giving Wednesday a shot for SRO evening tickets or at least rush for the matinee of CFA.
I'm the same way. I've never rushed anything before so I don't know how early to be there or anything.
In case anyone's wondering:
I did standing room today for tonight's performance. First person got there at 8 AM. I was 4th in line and got there around 11:40. About 20 people in line by 2, few more after that. They sold tickets beginning at 3, and they said that there are 15-25 depending on the performance--I'm not sure how many were sold today. But it wasn't too bad and hopefully will be worth the wait!
