Come From Away Rush |
froggy2 said: "Hi Everyone! My nieces are going to be in town for one day and I feel like they'd love this show - would y'all say that the Sunday rush line is especially bonkers these days? I'm fine with waking one of them up early to go wait with me, but I really want to make sure we end up with tickets (Rush or SRO) since we only have that one chance to see a show! Is there any updated info on the best time to show up on a Sunday? Looks like they only sell 10 Rush tickets now - is that correct?
Thanks in advance!

I rushed last Sunday (6/17) and I'm not sure how many rush tickets they gave out (I was number 11 in line, but I think in terms of how many tickets people were getting each, I may have been 17) but I was able to easily get a SR ticket and at least 4 or 5 people behind me got them as well. I got in line at around 9:30 am, so I'm sure if you get there around 7 or 8 on a Sunday morning you'll be all set!

I rushed last Sunday and by 12, when the box office opened, there was about 50 people in line. First person got there at 5 and the next 5-10 were there sometime between 5 and 7. After that people trickled in until the box office opened. People who got in line around 10:30 got SRO. Rush seats are partial view at extreme sides of the orchestra and occasionally extreme sides of the first row mezz. You don't miss much, maybe a line delivery here and there. SRO is a better view than the rush seats and the show is only 100 mins which isn't bad to stand for at all! Either way you can't go wrong for the price!

No, it's not bad. I loved it and am very much looking forward to seeing it again soon.
going again on Saturday to try & get SRO for the evening show. fingers crossed.
Apologies if this has been asked and answered and asked and answered, but can one buy a box seat in advance? Or are they only sold via rush?
Box seats are only available via the rush tickets.
Although I will say, I have bought box seats on the telecharge website before the box office opened on the morning of the show! It's not a guarantee but if you're waiting in line I would just check the telecharge website around 8 or 8:30 just to see, cause I got tickets from home that way.

I'm not sure if box seats are being sold as rush anymore. I've purchased them in advance online and I haven't heard any recent reports of rush seats being in the box. Can anyone confirm?
Just got in the SRO line for the evening show. 4th in line @12:15. Three people in front of me got there at noon.
That was probably the greatest experience rushing/SRO for any shows in all my history of doing this(15 years). The person in front me had done SRO 20 times already for CFA and told her to join the Facebook fan page. Meet a lot of great people waiting in line. Someone was from Labrador, Newfoundland who was dying to see the show but couldn't get a ticket. Talked him into doing SRO. This was followed by an older woman from France who also really wanted to see the show but couldn't get a ticket. Told us we were crazy for waitng. She returned 10 minutes later and decided to join us since I was wearing my COME FROM AWAY T-shirt. This was followed by 3 people from Boston who weren't sure how this worked but couldn't get tickets to Hamilton or Evan Hansen. By 1:30 there was 15 people in line. Our friend from France decided to go over to Junior's and get some water. She came back with an egg sandwich and offered to share. Our Newfoundlander decided to also go over to Junior's to which he brought back cheesecake for everyone in line. Those unfamiliar with the show I went on to tell them this is fitting for this show. I plan on bringing something back for all to share before the show starts.
I'm hoping to see the show on July 1 at 8 pm. Taking recent rush lines into account, and the fact that it will be the second show of a two show day, what time should I get in line? (I've never rushed before, so any advice is appreciated)

Did you want partial-view seats or Standing-Room tickets?

I'm fine with either, but would prefer partial-view

I got standing room for tonight's (Saturday 6/24) show. On two show days, they do the morning rush (for both evening and marine) and sell SRO for matinee. But they don't sell SRO for the evening until 3pm. I got there between 1:30 and 1:45 and was around 12th in line and a little worried I wouldn't get a ticket. I think a lot of people ahead of me also each only got 1 ticket which was helpful. Not sure how many people after me got tickets/how many total SRO seats there are available.
I will let you know later how the view is! So excited to see this show!
Also, another great thing about waiting in line for SRO on a two show day is you get to see the cast enter the stage door for the matinee. Just about everyone said hello.

5AM for seats, 9:30AM for SRO
I'd say 9:30am would be too late to show up for SRO on a Saturday. Only 10 rush tickets are sold per show now. The Rush/SRO typically reaches 40-50 people by 8:00am on a Saturday.

Just wanted to add that I was indeed the second to last person to get a ticket.

OP wanted evening SRO which isn't sold till the middle of the afternoon, not at 10AM.
Hey everyone. I'll be in the city on July 19, and am planning on rushing for the evening show. What time should I show up at the box office? Also is it true that SRO for the evening show isn't given out until 3 P.M.? I have a ticket for a matinee that day, so if that's true SRO is not an option for me...

Yes it's true SRO for evening doesn't start til 3pm. So you'll have to rush it in the morning for the evening tickets. I would get there around 5:30 or 6?
Hello all! I was wondering what the chances might be if I show up tomorrow at 6:30? Standing room or rush is fine. I really want to see the show and am able to do any day now until Sunday. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
FYI, only 10 rush tickets are sold per performance now.
6:30am should be a good time to get a rush/SRO ticket for Thursday.
I'm hoping to see this tomorrow. How early will people typically line up for rush on a Saturday? And do they sell for both performances when the box office opens?
