Hey guys, so I know Hamilton has become a really popular musical lately and everyone wants to see it. I completely understand why, too! But I've realized that a lot of my friends younger siblings listen to Hamilton. I mean, it has good lessons and all, but it also has some topics that are a little inappropriate. And its not even because of the smut and affair. Its that Hamilton had an affair and didn't get away with it, but did get forgiveness. I know it sounds like a stretch, but he did get forgiveness from Eliza, and that's not very common. So do you think I'd be appropriate for me (11 yrs old) to see it? I've listened to it and was eliza for halloween, but seeing it might be different. If you go to Is Waitress appropriate for kids I state how mature I believe I am.

I would personally have no problem with taking an 11 year old to see it.

Those sounds like an adult trying to fish for troublesome areas moreso than a lesson or takeaway a kid will experience.

I work there as an usher. And, I can tell you that there have been families who've brought children much younger then 11and the kids walked away beyond happy and relished every moment of it. For some of the young ones, they do enjoy the show but find it to be a little too long for them.

I brought my 13, 11 and 4 year old daughters. They all loved it.

1. If your parents are letting you listen to the album, I can't see how they'd object to your seeing the show.

2. Your assumption that forgiveness after an affair is rare, is off base. It happens a great deal.

3. I don't see any issues with an 11 year old seeing it....but I'm incredibly liberal. More conservative parents might...but again, see #1.

4. I think Waitress is almost harder to decide upon as the extra martial affairs are not obvious,  even if you know the music.  The sex is also a little more in your face.

What movie rating do your parents allow you to see?
